The strength of Asme B16.5 Inconel 625 flanges is derived from the hardening effect of alloying metals such as molybdenum and niobium on the nickel-chromium matrix of the alloy. Therefore, Uns N06625 flanges do not require precipitation hardening in manufacturing to save costs.

This combination of the four most predominant elements in inconel 625 also gives Inconel 625 wn flange grade 150 excellent resistance to a variety of unusually severe corrosive environments and high temperature effects such as chemical oxidation and carburization effect.
