ASTM A182 F304 slip flange is another commonly used flange, stainless steel containing chromium and nickel. 18% chrome and 8% nickel make these flanges more durable. The stainless steel 316L slip flange has added molybdenum for increased resistance to general corrosion and chloride ion solutions.

The tongue and groove face has a small contact area with the sealing element, which provides good gasket compression at low bolt loads.
