Alloy 20 (Alloy 20) is an iron-based austenitic alloy developed to resist sulfuric acid corrosion. It has excellent resistance to sulfuric acid corrosion; it has strong resistance to phosphoric acid, nitric acid and chloride environments, chloride stress corrosion, pitting corrosion and crack corrosion. Therefore, alloy 20 has the name of anti-corrosion alloy; it has a wide range of applications: such as: chemical, food, medicine, power production and plastics industries will use it. Chromium Molybdenum Alloy Steel or Chromium Molybdenum, CrMo is an alloy steel used for high temperature and high pressure service. Chromium molybdenum is used in power generation and petrochemical industries for its tensile strength, corrosion resistance and high temperature strength. Chromium molybdenum has a better strength-to-weight ratio than steel, which enables designers to use thinner walled tubing or smaller diameter tubing to reduce overall weight.

A blind flange is a solid flange as shown below. The purpose of these is to block off a section of pipe or a nozzle on a vessel that is not used.

ASTM A193 Grade B7M bolts and studs have the same chemical composition as Grade B7 (quenched and tempered medium carbon alloy steel) but have lower strength requirements requiring 100% hardness testing on all fasteners manufactured in the batch.
