The a182 f9 material contains a certain amount of chromium and molybdenum, both of which contribute to a longer service life and therefore longer life.

The material contains carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, 8% chromium and molybdenum in a mixture. SA 335 grade P5 alloy steel pipe has similar strength to most austenitic stainless steel grades, with a minimum yield strength of 205MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 415MPa.
