Nickel alloy flange

Hastelloy C-276 is a Ni Mo CR superalloy added with tungsten, which has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of harsh environments. The high content of Ni and Mo makes the Ni steel alloy particularly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in reducing environment, while CR transfers the performance of anti-oxidation medium.

Low carbon content can reduce the precipitation of carbides in the welding process, so as to maintain the corrosion resistance of the welding structure. This nickel alloy is resistant to the formation of grain boundary precipitation in the HAZ, so it is suitable for most chemical process applications under welding conditions.

The alloy is forged between 2250/1750oF (1230/955oC) following a soak at forging temperature of 30 minutes per inch of billet or ingot section thickness. Forging should be started immediately the stock is removed from the reheat furnace and 25/40% reductions help to retain as much internal heat as possible.
