The absolute roughness of hot rolled stainless steel round bars is higher than that of drawn bars. This is not a problem when rebar is only used for strength and corrosion resistance properties. But when the bar is used for aesthetic applications and outdoor fixtures, cold drawn stainless steel round bar is preferred because of its smooth surface and less absolute roughness. Bars can also vary in size. Typical range is 5mm to 450mm radius.
