The A335 P22 is a seamless pipe made from a ferritic alloy stainless steel. Chemically, the alloy of SA335 P22 material contains carbon, manganese, sulphur, silicon and phosphorous in trace amounts. The main additives in the alloy are molybdenum and chromium, which gives stainless steel superior mechanical properties. Properties like tensile strength, corrosion resistance, hardness, etc are enhanced and increased. The brittleness due to the addition of chromium is reduced by molybdenum.

Chromium is the most efficient element for resisting high-temperature oxidation. Additionally, SA335 P22 pipe significantly enhances strength and wear resistance.
