ANSI B16.5 Duplex Stainless Steel Plate Flanges are available in pressure ratings from 150 to 2500, and the standard covers pipe nominal sizes from NPS ? to NPS 24. The duplex stainless steel flange material we manufacture meets international standards. We produce different grades of duplex steels that require different qualities to be used in different applications.

Exposure of conventional austenitic alloys to this solution will often cause cracks under pressure as chloride ions deposit on the flange walls. Because ASTM A182 F51 pipe flanges contain equal proportions of austenite and ferrite, they have excellent SCC resistance.

The austenitic portion of this alloy is the reason why A182 Super Duplex Flanges resist pitting, crevice, and general corrosion. Typically organic acids such as acetic and formic acids cause uniform corrosion in many steel alloys. Molybdenum, which contains a high chromium content, makes UNS S32750 butt weld flanges resistant to corrosion in environments containing these acids.

Due to the alloy’s excellent resistance to dilute hydrochloric acid, Super Duplex 2507 flanges can be used in the chemical processing industry. Another common problem with steel alloys is that they tend to corrode during welding. When the alloy is welded, the temperature is high, and the excess carbon atoms are precipitated to form carbide precipitates.

This in turn sensitizes the grain boundary, weakening and corroding it. The benefit of welding alloy 2507 blind flanges is that the chemistry in their alloy has a very low carbon content. This makes it difficult to form carbide precipitates and inadvertently prevents intergranular corrosion.

Based on composition, materials can be classified as Standard Duplex, Super Duplex, and Lean Duplex. Duplex steel flanges are suitable for high pressure, high temperature and highly corrosive applications. Duplex is also cost effective and has recently been used and replaced by other material grades.

In addition to this standard duplex grade, there are super duplex and lean duplex grades. Flanges made of duplex steel fall under ASTM A182 F51 UNS S31803 and others. ASTM A182 specification covers components for pressure vessel grade applications. These duplex flanges can be used in high pressure and high temperature services such as boilers, condensers, heat exchangers, power plants, and petroleum industry applications.

Duplex S31803 butt weld flanges combine good mechanical strength and ductility with moderate to good corrosion resistance in a variety of environments. Duplex S31803 threaded flanges are the most widely used duplex stainless steel grade. Duplex S31803 lap joint flanges feature a high yield strength that is twice that of standard austenitic stainless steel grades.

Each different type has its own advantages. Different grades of duplex steel have different mechanical and physical properties due to different chemical compositions. ASTM A182 F60 flanges are high performance, cost effective and long life flanges. There are different face types such as ring joint flanges, flat face flanges and raised face flanges.

To be able to form a piping system, pumps, pipes, valves and various other equipment are connected together by so-called flanges. These flanges are almost always threaded or welded. Flanges are great because they can be easily inspected, cleaned, or any desired modification.

UNS S32205 ASTM A182 flanges have good resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion due to a combination of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen. The exotic duplex 2205 flange alloy is used in oil and gas exploration, this alloy is also used in the chemical processing sector.

We provide flanges for connecting valves, pipes and other equipment to avoid leakage. Duplex steel F60 flanges are highly resistant to sulfide corrosion, crevice cracking, stress corrosion cracking and chloride attack. Excellent mechanical strength and toughness allow these duplex flanges to be maintained in harsh environments.

2205 is the most widely used duplex stainless steel, accounting for more than 80% of the duplex stainless steel market. Alloy 2205 offers better corrosion resistance in a variety of environments where 316L is typically used, with the added benefit of higher yield strength.

All 2205 alloys are metallographically inspected to ensure that products shipped are free of harmful phases such as sigma. It is usually used in the form of welded pipes or tubular parts. The alloy is also used as formed and welded sheet products in environments that are resistant to general corrosion and chloride stress corrosion cracking.

Super Duplex Flanges use pure quality alloys with mixed austenitic and ferritic microstructures and high molybdenum and chromium content. This superior chemical composition provides superior resistance and increased strength. The products we manufacture are used in a wide variety of applications and industries. These flanges are highly resistant in corrosive, acidic and reducing environments.

Duplex steel flanges have some excellent properties such as strong construction, higher yield strength, superior finish, higher toughness, corrosion resistance, and more. Duplex flanges are dual microstructures consisting of austenitic and ferritic grades. Versatile grades are designed with excellent chemical concentrations of chromium, nickel and small amounts of molybdenum. The excellent concentration makes these modules more resistant to aggressive and oxidizing media.

Robust modules resist acid pitting in marine systems. Duplex flanges effectively connect different piping modules in the system and affect the flow of fluids or gases. This grade has higher strength and crack resistance than common austenitic grades. These flanges also have excellent ductility and can be welded in place using standard procedures.

Stainless steel grades with more than 12% chromium in the alloy are resistant to the effects of oxidation. In the case of super duplex stainless steel 2507, its alloy contains 25% chromium, which improves oxidation resistance even at high temperatures.

Both austenite and ferrite are present in the microstructure of this alloy. Therefore, super duplex flanges have similar properties to these two stainless steels. These components have excellent performance in applications exposed to chlorine solutions.

Duplex 2205 flanges are made from austenitic-ferritic stainless steel and are designed to provide higher strength and corrosion resistance than 300 series stainless steel. It helps users avoid stress corrosion cracking common to 316 and 317. Duplex 2205 flanges combine the stress corrosion cracking resistance and high strength of ferritic alloys with austenitic fabrication capabilities.

ASTM A182 Duplex S31803 Slip Flange for high pressure vessels and high pressure applications. The operating temperature range is up to 150 degrees Celsius in chloride-rich environments. This material grade is available with welded flanges, bolted flanges and threaded flanges.

Duplex 2205 was tested under reverse bending stress at room temperature compared to SS316. The results show that Duplex 2205 has approximately twice the fatigue limit/yield strength.

To increase the connection surface, dual phase steel S31803/S32205 RTJ flanges are used. It is applied in pairs in two halves. We also offer other types such as 2205 Double Butt Weld Flanges.

Duplex 2205 flanges have a ductile to brittle transition at -50¡ãC and also become brittle at 300-1000¡ãC, so the recommended service temperature is -50¡ãC to 300¡ãC. Exposure to above 300¡ãC will not only cause embrittlement of the 2205 flange, but will also reduce corrosion resistance.

Duplex 2205 Butt Weld Flanges (WN Flanges) are easily identifiable at the long tapered hub, gradually extending from the pipe or fitting to the wall thickness. Long tapered hubs provide significant reinforcement for use in a variety of applications involving high pressure, sub-zero and/or high temperature. A smooth transition from flange thickness to pipe or fitting wall thickness is very beneficial in the case of repeated bending caused by linear expansion or other variable forces.

Corrosion Duplex 2205 flanges provide the industry with an improved stainless steel corrosion solution with good sulfide corrosion resistance and better resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion than 317L.

Duplex flanges are made of a special stainless steel with austenitic and ferritic metallurgical features in its microstructure. These are magnetic steels with high corrosion resistance and work hardening.

The combination of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen provides Duplex 2205 flanges with good chloride pitting and crevice corrosion protection, which makes them useful in marine environments, brackish water, bleach operations, closed loop water systems and some food processing applications. Although it is important to remember that pitting corrosion can be a problem in chloride solutions when oxidizing media are present. Under these conditions, the passive (protective) layer of the Duplex 2205 material may be damaged and localized pitting may occur.
