Alloy 926 is a super austenitic molybdenum stainless steel with excellent resistance to a variety of highly corrosive environments. The combination of molybdenum and nitrogen in its composition resists pitting and crevice corrosion, while copper improves sulfuric acid resistance, while nitrogen increases yield and tensile strength.

Bolts and Nuts fall under the ASTM B166 specification for hot and cold work Inconel 600 bar, bar bolts and nuts. Standards vary from DIN, ASTM, BS and all other international standards. Inconel 600 fasteners can vary in length from custom lengths and 3mm to 200mm, and also in sizes from M3 to M56 and 3/6″ to 2″. There are different types of bolts and nuts in Alloy 600 Fasteners such as T-Nuts, Panel Nuts, Coupling Nuts and Lag and Hex Bolts.

Incoloy 800 was produced as early as the 1950s, but at that time, nickel was not widely used, so it was really only used in special cases when producing certain steels. This grade has high temperature strength and resistance to carburization, oxidation and other high temperature corrosion.

Although the material has good tensile strength at moderately high temperatures, the use of Incoloy 800 round bar at elevated temperatures results in a reduction in its tensile strength. However, like most austenitic stainless steel alloys, UNS N08811 bright bar has proven to be a useful asset, especially in environments with high levels of corrosive media.

This modification was to control carbon (.05-.10%) and grain size to optimize stress rupture properties. Incoloy 800HT has further modifications to the combined titanium and aluminum levels (.85-1.20%) to ensure optimum high temperature properties.

In fact, Inconel Alloy 600 (UNS N06600) was designed for use from cryogenic to elevated temperatures up to and surpassing 2000 degrees F. Alloy 600 is not precipitative hardenable, it is hardened and strengthened solely through cold work.

Incoloy 825 hex nuts are known for their tight tolerances and precise dimensions. Incoloy 825 Heavy Duty Hex Nuts offer excellent resistance to localized corrosion such as reducing and oxidizing acids, stress corrosion cracking, and pitting and crevice corrosion. These Incoloy 825 nuts have good mechanical properties from low to moderately high temperatures. However, exposure of these alloy 825 nuts to temperatures above 1000¡ãF results in microstructural changes that significantly reduce ductility and impact strength.

Super alloys are also referred to as high performance alloys. They have good creep and oxidation resistance, and are utilized where high surface stability is required. They also have an ability to function under high temperatures and mechanical stress. They can be strengthened by solid-solution hardening, work hardening, and precipitation hardening. They are divided into three groups such as iron-based, nickel-based, and cobalt-based alloys.

To avoid possible stress relaxation grain boundary cracking of N08811 in applications above 1000¡ãF the welded fabrication may be heated 1650¡ãF for about one hour per inch of thickness or 30 minutes minimum then air cooled.

ASTM B564 Inconel 718 Threaded Flange Grade 718 Inconel Flange is the most common grade of the hardenable Inconel. This precipitation-hardened nickel-chromium alloy combines outstanding corrosion resistance and high strength at elevated temperatures. The alloy is an about 2x as strong as Inconel grade 625 having excellent creep-rupture strength at temperatures to 1300¡ãF (700¡ãC) and usable up to 1800¡ãF (982¡ãC). Inconel grade 718 is often used in gas turbines, rocket motors, spacecraft, nuclear reactors, pumps, and tooling.

Incoloy 800 is primarily used in applications up to 1100¡ãF, where 800H and 800HT alloys are typically used where creep and rupture resistance is required above 1100¡ãF. The chemical balance allows nickel steel alloys to exhibit excellent resistance to carburizing, oxidizing and nitriding atmospheres.
