This nickel-molybdenum alloy is typically used under extreme reducing conditions and has a much lower composition of carbon, silicon and iron than Hastelloy B (Alloy B). Screws made from this alloy are also known as UNS N10665 fasteners.

Hastelloy 276 bolts and fasteners are suitable for most chemical applications in the welded condition. However, it should be noted that in environments where C-276 alloy weld joints are subject to attack, C-22 weld filler material should be considered. Essentially, Monel 500 is an age-hardened version of Monel 400. This means that Monel 500 is harder and more resistant to corrosion than Monel 400. This material can be used in sour gas applications. Monel K500 Studs maintain corrosion resistance even in high velocity seawater. Hence, these applications are in seawater and marine engineering applications as well as in shipbuilding applications.

Incoloy 800, 800H and 800HT bolts are nickel-iron-chromium alloys with good strength and excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization at high temperature exposure. Incoloy 800H fasteners and Incoloy 800HT fastener alloys are mainly high in nickel and chromium. Meanwhile, Inconel 800H/800HT? (UNS N08810 & N08811 / W.Nr. 1.4958 & 1.4959) is a solution-strengthened iron-nickel-chromium alloy usually offered as a dual-certified alloy that meets the elemental requirements of both alloys.

Monel 400 and K500 nuts also exhibit excellent corrosion resistance in marine applications and have reasonable corrosion resistance to sulfuric and hydrochloric acids under reducing conditions. A standout feature of monel nuts is their excellent resistance to hydrofluoric acid, a particularly difficult acid to handle, at all concentrations up to the boiling point. For hydrofluoric acid applications, Monel nuts are probably the most corrosion resistant of all commonly used specialty alloys.

A finished hex nut, also known as a standard hex nut, has a smaller width across the flats and corners compared to a heavy hex nut. Heavy hex nuts are thicker and heavier in weight. The proof load strength is higher than a standard hex nut. Heavy hex nuts provide increased bearing surface area over finished nuts.

Hastelloy B2 studs have poor corrosion resistance to oxidizing environments and are therefore not recommended for use in oxidizing media or in the presence of iron or copper salts as they may cause rapid premature corrosion failure.

Hastelloy C276 material is designed with good mechanical properties. They have a minimum tensile strength of 601Mpa and a minimum yield strength of 204Mpa. This material makes the alloy easy to machine and elongate.

Inconel 825 fasteners have excellent resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids in addition to general corrosion. Bolts made from Alloy 926 are a super austenitic molybdenum stainless steel with comparable corrosion resistance to Super Duplex 2507, but with slightly lower strength and cost. Chemically nearly identical to 6-molybdenum alloys AL6XN and SMO 254, alloy 926 is commonly used in paper mills, desalination and mild acid environments.

Alloy 600 also has excellent mechanical properties with high strength and good machinability.

Hastelloy C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to a variety of chemical process environments, including strong oxidizing agents (such as ferric chloride and cupric chloride), hot fouling media (organic and inorganic), chlorine, formic and acetic acid, acetic anhydride, and Seawater and brine solutions.

Because of its versatility, a number of industries utilize alloy 625 including nuclear power production, marine/boating/undersea, and aerospace.

Similar to Nimonic 75 alloy with good corrosion and oxidation resistance. Creep rupture and tensile properties are high at 815¡ãC (1500¡ãF). It can be hot worked in the temperature range of 1050-1200¡ãC.

Inconel Alloy 718 is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant nickel-chromium material that can be used in temperatures from -423¡ã to 1300¡ãF. Alloy 718 for the petroleum industry is heat treated to a hardness not exceeding 40HRC, the maximum value allowed by NACE MR-01-75 to prevent stress corrosion cracking.

For high temperature applications up to 1,000 ¡ãC (1,832 ¡ãF), the solution treated variant (grade 2) acc. to ASME Code for Pressure Vessels is used.
