Monel 400 or also known as Nickel-Copper 400 is a solid solution alloy that is a high strength material that can be used over a wide temperature range. It also has excellent corrosion resistance and has applications in many areas in marine and chemical processing. It is used in applications such as valves, pumps, fresh water tanks and propeller shafts.

Hex bolts are used to fasten two or more parts together to form an assembly either because it cannot be manufactured as a single part or to allow for maintenance and repair disassembly. By definition “A Bolt is a headed and externally threaded mechanical device designed for insertion through holes in assembled parts to mate with a nut and is normally intended to be tightened or released by turning that nut.” When used with a preformed internally threaded (tapped) hole, the hex bolt’s head is turned to tighten, which technically makes it a screw (see our Tech Data section for a discussion regarding the differences between bolts and screws). Hex bolts are also known as: hex head bolts, cap screws, hex cap screws, hex head cap screws, machine bolts, hex machine bolts, hex head machine bolts and, if fully threaded, tap bolts, hex tap bolts and hex head tap bolts. A hex bolt is often differentiated from a hex cap screw by its underhead bearing surface: if it has a circular boss, called a washer face, it’s a hex cap screw¡ªif it doesn’t then it’s a hex bolt.

Monel 400 is resistant to steam and sea water as well as highly corrosive solutions such as sulfuric, hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids after degassing. It has excellent solderability and can withstand very high pressure and weight. The alloy has excellent mechanical properties at sub-zero temperatures, with a melting point of 2370¡ã – 2460¡ã F, and the product can be used at temperatures up to 1000¡ã C.

Alloy 20 is designed to withstand sulfuric acid. Its nickel, chromium, molybdenum and copper content all provide excellent general corrosion resistance. Alloy 20 fasteners are austenitic stainless steel fasteners made from alloys containing limited carbon content of chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and nitrogen.

Inconel 625 bolts have a high density of 8.44 grams per cubic centimeter. The material also has high strength values. The minimum tensile strength of the fastener is 880MPa and its minimum yield strength is 460MPa. Inconel 625 nuts have 50% elongation and good electrical resistivity.

Gold 926 fasteners are also similar in composition to 904L, but with the addition of nitrogen and molybdenum, resulting in alloy 926 bolts with improved general corrosion resistance as well as pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Because Alloy 926 is resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking, it makes 926 fasteners ideal for desalination, pulp and paper mills. This alloy is also ideal for dilute sulfuric and phosphoric acid applications.

Alloy 825 bolts have good mechanical properties from low temperatures to moderately high temperatures up to about 1000¡ãF. Microstructural changes that significantly reduce ductility and impact strength occur when used at temperatures above 1000¡ãF.

Inconel 718 Hex Nuts offer high strength and corrosion resistance. Additionally, they are known for their high strength capabilities and 1800¡ãF availability. The excellent corrosion resistance of Inconel 718 at high temperatures is due to the nickel-chromium content, even when resisting chloride stress corrosion cracking. Adding molybdenum to the alloy helps prevent pitting corrosion.

Hastealloy is a term that refers to a group of corrosion resistant metal mixtures that are based on nickel. Hastealloys have a unique combination of properties that provide them with significantly stronger corrosion resistance capabilities compared to traditional alloys. As such, it was widely accepted in the chemical process and associated industries, and now has a 50-year-old track record of proven performance in a vast number of corrosive chemicals.

The high molybdenum content imparts resistance to localized corrosion such as pitting.

Monel K-500 (N05500) Bolts are manufactured by the cold heading and hot forming technologies in nominal diameters ranging from 1/8¡±- 3¡± (M3 ¨C M80). It can be in both USCS/Imperial and metric sizes.

Fasteners have excellent resistance to pitting and crevice cracking. In addition, we offer fasteners with excellent resistance to water corrosion, general corrosion and chloride stress corrosion cracking.

Inconel 600 flat washers are also non-magnetic and offer the perfect combination of high strength, hot and cold workability, and resistance to common forms of corrosion. Inconel Alloy 600 ferrules exhibit excellent toughness even at sub-zero temperatures and are suitable for use with most alkaline solutions and sulfides. To avoid stress corrosion cracking, Alloy 600 split washers are manufactured to be fully stress relieved prior to use.

This alloy also displays good heat resistance and freedom from aging or stress corrosion throughout the annealed to heavily cold worked condition range.

Inconel 718 is highly resistant to phosphoric and sulfuric acids as well as crevice and pitting corrosion. Our Inconel 718 fasteners have good mechanical properties at both room and elevated temperatures.

Alloy31 is a nitrogen-added iron-nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy. This alloy fills the gap between special alloys austenitic stainless steels and nickel alloys. Alloy 31 has been proven in the chemical and petrochemical industries, ore extractors, environmental and marine engineering, and oil and gas production.

Alloy K500 studs are threaded rods with threads on both ends. They can be of different types depending on thread distance from center and thread type. The material is resistant to high temperature and high pressure. It has a melting point of 1350 degrees Celsius, a minimum yield strength of 790MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 1100MPa. These values are twice as strong as level 304.

Hastelloy C-276 fasteners and other products in the Hastelloy family have excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidizing and reducing chemicals. Due to its adaptability, Hastelloy C-276 alloy can be used in problem areas and is more likely to occur in process areas. In Hastelloy C276 hex bolts, the chromium content is increased to about 21% and the molybdenum content is reduced to about 13%. Hastelloy C276 Heavy Duty Hex Bolts also provide optimum resistance to environments encountered in reducing and oxidizing conditions in the process stream.

Alloy 600 also has excellent mechanical properties with high strength and good machinability.

Inconel 625 flat washers offer good corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures and high-temperature stability at 2200¡ãF. They also retain their strength and resist heat in and out of corrosive environments. This makes these flat washers perfect for applications ranging from heat shields to saltwater applications.

Hastelloy C-2000 Fastener, also known by many as Alloy C-2000, is a versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion. The C-2000 fastener (UNS N06200) is unique among other Hastelloy alloys with approximately 1.6% copper added to its chemical composition. These properties make them ideal for applications such as heat exchangers and industrial reactors.

Another feature of HASTELLOY-X fasteners is their excellent forming and welding characteristics. It can be forged and can be cold worked due to its good ductility. Common applications for Hastelloy x include use in aircraft furnaces and chemical process components.

Hastelloy c22/C276 fasteners have good dimensional accuracy, corrosion resistance, durability, high durability, high flexibility, strong structure, high tensile strength and other characteristics. The presence of molybdenum and tungsten provides good resistance to reducing media. The nickel content of Hastelloy c22 fasteners provides admirable resistance to oxidizing aqueous media. These fasting agents also work well wet in environments containing chlorine, formic acid, and acetic acid.

HASTELLOY G-30 alloy is a high-chromium nickel-based alloy that exhibits corrosion resistance superior to most other nickel- and iron-based alloys in commercial phosphoric acid and in many complex environments containing highly oxidizing acids such as nitric/hydrochloric acid, Nitric/hydrofluoric and sulfuric acid. The resistance of G-30 alloy to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the heat affected zone makes it suitable for the as-welded condition in most chemical processing applications.

It has high strength and excellent corrosion resistance in various acidic and alkaline environments, especially suitable for reducing conditions. It also has good ductility and thermal conductivity.
