Alloy C-276 has exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical environments.

Hastelloy C276 is a corrosion-resistant nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy that is widely used in a variety of industrial applications, particularly in environments where strong acids and oxidizing agents are present.

These Hastelloy C276 contain a mixture of molybdenum, nickel and chromium species. Like other nickel alloys, it is ductile, easy to form and weld, and has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking (a form of easily degradable austenitic stainless steel) in chloride-containing solutions. Due to its high chromium and molybdenum content, it is resistant to oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids and exhibits excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in the presence of chlorides and other halides.

Incoloy 800HT is further modified with titanium and aluminium combined levels (0.85-1.20%) to ensure optimum high temperature performance. Nickel alloys are double certified (800H/HT) and combine the properties of both forms.

Incoloy 800HT hot-rolled sheet is generally a nickel alloy sheet with a thickness of 3mm-5mm or more. Incoloy 800HT sheet inherits the superior corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and fatigue resistance of Incoloy 800HT.

Inconel 825 is a nickel alloy that can be used in businesses that handle high thermal reactions. For example, Inconel 825 round bars are commonly used in industries such as air pollution control, chemical and petrochemical, steel pickling, ore processing, petroleum refining, offshore oil and gas production, food processing, and waste disposal.

Both alloys have the same chemical composition as Alloy 800 plate (UNS N08800), but the carbon content is higher in both grades – (0.05 – 0.10%) in Alloy 800H and (0.06 in Alloy 800H) – 0.10% ) 800HT board.

INCONEL 800H/HT – Alloy 800 (UNS N08800/1.4876) is a widely used material for equipment construction requiring corrosion, heat, strength and stability up to 1500¡ãF (816¡ãC) . Incoloy Inconel Alloy 800 has moderate corrosion resistance to many aqueous media and is resistant to stress corrosion cracking due to its nickel content.

Incoloy 800 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy made up of mostly iron and nickel with smaller amounts of chromium, aluminum, and titanium. ASTM B409 defines the standards for Incoloy 800 UNS N08800 Plate, which is commonly used in high-temperature applications such as furnace components, petrochemical processing, and power generation.

Inconel 825 or Alloy 825 can be used for round bar, pipe, tube, sheet and plate. Inconel 825 is used in oil and gas or petrochemical applications and some marine and sour environments.

Alloy 800 Coils are also used in extruded tubing for ethylene and steam methane reformers. The higher creep rupture strength of the Nickel 800 sheet is a result of the aluminum, carbon and titanium content.

ASTM B463 UNS N08020 Sheet can be formed by hot or cold working using conventional methods. Hot forged material should be heated between 2100¡ãF and 2250¡ãF, with the temperature carefully controlled to ensure that the material does not drop below 1800¡ãF prior to forging. After hot working, the material shall be heat annealed between 1725¡ãF and 1850¡ãF for a minimum of 30 minutes per inch of thickness and then water quenched.

Alloy C-276 (UNS N10276) is known for its corrosion resistance in a wide range of aggressive media. The high molybdenum content imparts resistance to localized corrosion such as pitting.

Incoloy 800HT will not become brittle even after prolonged use in the 1200-1600¡ã F range where many stainless steels become brittle. 800HT exhibits excellent cold forming properties typically associated with Nichrome. When cold forming is extensive, the grain size produces a distinct undulating surface known as “orange peel”. Incoloy 800HT can be welded by common techniques used on stainless steel.

Incoloy 825 plate has high corrosion resistance. It contains high nickel content which is sufficient to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking resistance, and a very stable austenite structure.

The nickel and molybdenum component of ASTM B575 Hastelloy C-276 Sheets aids in their resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in reducing conditions.

Because Inconel 718 alloy maintains good corrosion resistance and excellent oxidation resistance, SB670 Inconel 718 strip can be used in parts requiring high creep and stress rupture resistance up to 1300¡ãF and oxidation resistance up to 1800¡ãF temperature range.

For high temperature applications requiring optimum rupture and creep properties, Alloy 800H Plate (UNS N08810 Plate) and Alloy INCOLOY 800HT Coil (UNS N08811 Coil) are used. These are also known as WNR 1.4876Sheets, WNR 1.4958 Plates, and WNR 1.4859 Coils.

The uns n08020 plate has a minimum tensile strength of 551MPa and a minimum yield strength of 241MPa. With this strength, the board is suitable for storage tanks, containers and panels.

Although the welding characteristics of Inconel 718, especially its resistance to post-weld cracking tend to be outstanding. Similar to other Inconel alloy grades, Inconel 718 plate forms a binder on its surface when the material is heated, but self-repairs the passivating oxide layer. The room temperature strength of ASTM B670 Inconel 718 sheet can be significantly increased using a precipitation heat treatment method.

Incoloy Plate is a solution heat treated, carbon controlled version of its parent Alloy. The point to note with the higher carbon version of the Incoloy Plate is that the modified alloy comes with improved elevated temperature properties.
