Incoloy is a group of superalloys with good electrical resistance and tolerances. Incoloy 800 is an alloy of iron, nickel and chromium. Gold 926 fasteners are also similar in composition to 904L, but with the addition of nitrogen and molybdenum, resulting in alloy 926 bolts with improved general corrosion resistance as well as pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Because Alloy 926 is resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking, it makes 926 fasteners ideal for desalination, pulp and paper mills. This alloy is also ideal for dilute sulfuric and phosphoric acid applications.

Alloys 800, 800H and 800HT are nickel-iron-chromium alloys with good strength and excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization at high temperature exposure.

Although the material has good tensile strength at moderately high temperatures, the use of Incoloy 800 round bar at elevated temperatures results in a reduction in its tensile strength. However, like most austenitic stainless steel alloys, UNS N08811 bright bar has proven to be a useful asset, especially in environments with high levels of corrosive media.

800H can not be corroded in many kinds of media. Its high nickel content made it have good stress corrosion resistance cracking properties in the water corrosion condition. High Chromium content made it can better resist pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. This alloy can resist nitric acid and organic acid corrosion, but it is not so fine in the sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.

Monel bolts, such as Monel 400 and K500, are made of nickel-copper alloys and exhibit high strength, toughness and good corrosion resistance over a wide temperature range. A standout feature of Monel bolts is their excellent resistance to hydrofluoric acid, a particularly difficult acid to handle, at all concentrations up to the boiling point. For hydrofluoric acid applications, Monel bolts are probably the most corrosion resistant of all commonly used specialty alloys.

ASTM B163 B407 ASME SB163 SB407 N08800 Incoloy 800 Seamless Pipe is especially suitable for high temperature equipment in the petrochemical industry because the alloy does not form an embrittled sigma phase after prolonged exposure to 1200¡ãF (649¡ãC).

Alloy 800HT / Incoloy 800HT is a controlled composition derivative of INCOLOY? alloy 800H (UNS N08810) and is used for the same creep resistant applications, however the combined effects of mechanical and thermal processing of the alloy permit higher design stresses to be incorporated than are permitted for the conventional alloy.

Alloy 800 bolts (WNR 1.4876 bolts) resist embrittlement due to nickel-containing sigma-phase precipitation and chloride stress corrosion cracking. It has further modifications to the combined levels of aluminium and titanium (0.85-1.20%) to ensure optimum high temperature performance. These are called UNS N08800 bolts and are actually for high temperature structural applications. At the same time, the corrosion resistance of these bolts is quite high. ASTM B564 Inconel 718 Threaded Flange Grade 718 Inconel Flange is the most common grade of the hardenable Inconel. This precipitation-hardened nickel-chromium alloy combines outstanding corrosion resistance and high strength at elevated temperatures. The alloy is an about 2x as strong as Inconel grade 625 having excellent creep-rupture strength at temperatures to 1300¡ãF (700¡ãC) and usable up to 1800¡ãF (982¡ãC). Inconel grade 718 is often used in gas turbines, rocket motors, spacecraft, nuclear reactors, pumps, and tooling.

Both alloys have the same chemical composition as Alloy 800 plate (UNS N08800), but the carbon content is higher in both grades – (0.05 – 0.10%) in Alloy 800H and (0.06 in Alloy 800H) – 0.10% ) 800HT board.
