UNS N08825 Flange Incoloy 825 Flanges (UNS N08825) is composed of addition of molybdenum, copper, and titanium into its nickel-iron-chromium base. The extra metals give Incoloy 825 Blind Flange exceptional resistance against corrosion, even more so than other nickel alloys.

Alloy 925 is a nickel-based alloy with major additions of iron and chromium, but also molybdenum, copper, titanium, and aluminum. The combination of high strength and corrosion resistance makes it suitable for applications such as valves, hangers, packers and pipes in sour gas environments. It can also be used for fasteners and pump shafts in marine environments.

The combination of nickel and chromium provides protection in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. The high nickel content also provides resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion is also excellent. The alloy is produced by a vacuum remelting process, but can be supplied using an air melting single-consumer electrode (VAR or ESR) practice if material specifications permit.

Inconel 825 fasteners have excellent resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids in addition to general corrosion. These Incoloy 825 fasteners also resist stress-related corrosion cracking, localized corrosion such as pitting and crevice corrosion. Incoloy 825 is particularly resistant to acids such as sulfuric and phosphoric acid. Austenitic stabilizing elements such as nickel, one of the main alloying agents for nickel alloy 825 hex bolts, remain unchanged even in high temperature environments. Since the structure remains unchanged, the DIN 2.4858 studs are less likely to deform.

Incoloy 800/800H/800HT pipes are mainly made of nickel-iron-chromium alloy, which has excellent resistance to carburization and oxidation, and has good tensile strength. These steel alloys are the same. The only difference is the percentage of aluminum and titanium in these alloys. Gold 926 fasteners are also similar in composition to 904L, but with the addition of nitrogen and molybdenum, resulting in alloy 926 bolts with improved general corrosion resistance as well as pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Because Alloy 926 is resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking, it makes 926 fasteners ideal for desalination, pulp and paper mills. This alloy is also ideal for dilute sulfuric and phosphoric acid applications.

When cold formed extensively the grain size produces a visibly undulated surface called “orange peel”. 800HT can be welded by the common techniques used on stainless steels.

ASTM B462 UNS N08020 Slip On Flange The Alloy 20 is an austenitic niobium-stabilized alloy that contains nickel and low carbon.
