Austenitic stabilizing elements such as nickel, one of the main alloying agents for nickel alloy 825 hex bolts, remain unchanged even in high temperature environments. Since the structure remains unchanged, the DIN 2.4858 studs are less likely to deform.

Incoloy 825 is a nickel-based alloy generally similar to Alloy 20 in water corrosion. It has useful resistance to boiling sulfuric acid up to 40% strength, 60% strength at 176¡ãF, and 150¡ãF at all concentrations.

Alloy 800HT / Incoloy 800HT is a controlled composition derivative of INCOLOY alloy 800H (UNS N08810) and is used for the same creep resistant applications, however the combined effects of mechanical and thermal processing of the alloy permit higher design stresses to be incorporated than are permitted for the conventional alloy.
