Incoloy alloys belong to the Inconel family. This means that the alloy can be used at high temperatures. Incoloy 800H/HT alloy is used for high temperature structural applications. The nickel content makes the alloy highly resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking and embrittlement from sigma-phase precipitation. Overall corrosion resistance is excellent. Alloys 800H and 800HT have excellent creep and stress rupture properties under solution annealed conditions.

The alloy is capable of remaining stable and maintaining its austenitic structure. Incoloy 800 is primarily used in applications with temperatures up to 1100¡ã F, where alloys 800H and 800HT are normally used in temperatures above 1100¡ã F where resistance to creep and rupture is required.

926 is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with a chemical composition similar to alloy 904L with 0.2% nitrogen and 6.5% molybdenum. Molybdenum and nitrogen contents significantly improve pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in halide media. At the same time, nickel and nitrogen not only ensure the stability of the metallographic phase, but also reduce the tendency of intergranular segregation during thermal process or welding process better than nitrogen content. Nickel alloy. 926 has exceptional corrosion resistance in chloride ion media due to its excellent localized corrosion resistance and 25% nickel alloy content.

Inconel 800, whose chemistry forms over 50% of nickel is known to be more expensive than the former.
