Incoloy 800HT Elbows Nickel Alloy 800HT Butt Welded Fittings

The major differences between these alloys are their mechanical properties which stem from the restricted compositions of alloys 800H and 800HT and the high-temperature anneals used for these alloys.

If material is to be deformed more than 20% and a ?nal anneal is desired, ?ne-grain material should be considered for the starting stock. Stress relief is performed between 1000¡ãF and 1600¡ãF and should be at temperature for 1 hour per inch of material or for a minimum of 1? hours at 1600¡ãF, whichever is greater. Recrystallization anneal is achieved at temperatures between 2100¡ãF and 2200¡ãF. Heat-treating equipment such as baskets, trays, and fixtures employ Incoloy 800H/HT. Chemical and petrochemical processing industries use the alloys for heat exchangers and other piping systems in nitric acid media especially where resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking is required. Power plants use them for super-heater and re-heater tubing.
