Applications for Inconel 600 Nuts and Bolts can be found in general engineering applications, oil and gas industry applications, aerospace, marine, construction, power generation, and more.

High temperature applications exist due to the thick and stable passivating oxide layer formed when Inconel 718 is heated. ANSI B16.47 Inconel 718 flanges are vital to the food, beverage and food processing and textile industries, primarily to create waterproofing systems during pipeline evaluation.

Inconel 625 bar is a heat resistant nickel based superalloy. The high strength of these bars makes them a difficult prospect for machines. Bars of this grade have a machinability rating of 17% and a hardness of 29 HRC.

Inconel gaskets, such as Inconel 600, 601, 625, 686, 718 and 725 gaskets, are a family of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys for high strength and good corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. Due to its high thermal stability, Inconel can be used in operating temperatures from cryogenic to 2200¡ãF (982¡ãC). There is almost no corrosion to Inconel gaskets in mild environments such as atmosphere, seawater, neutral salt, and alkaline media. Because the high alloy content of Inconel gaskets enables them to withstand a variety of severe corrosive environments. In more severe corrosive environments, the combination of nickel and chromium provides resistance to oxidizing chemicals, while high nickel and molybdenum contents provide resistance to non-oxidizing environments.

Inconel X750 is a nickel-chromium alloy that has been used for both wrought products and castings. Inconel X750 offers excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation along with high strength and good toughness properties at elevated temperatures.

Typical corrosion applications include titanium dioxide production (chloride route), perchlorethylene syntheses, vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), and magnesium chloride.

One thing to keep in mind about these bars is that it does work harden quickly, so intermediate annealing can be used for complex part forming operations.

Little or no corrosion occurs in dry gases such as chlorine or hydrogen chloride at room temperature and high temperature. At temperatures up to 550C in these media, this alloy has proven to be one of the most corrosion resistant common alloys.

ASTM B564 601 Raised Face Flange nconel 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy used for applications that require resistance to corrosion and heat. This nickel alloy stands out due to its resistance to high temperature oxidation, remaining highly resistant to oxidation through 2200¡ã F. Alloy 601 develops a tightly adherent oxide scale which resists spalling even under conditions of severe thermal cycling.

Inconel 601 Flanges are made up of a nickel chromium alloy. The material grads range differently with the composition ratio. The 601 grade has 58% nickel, 21% chromium, carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, copper and iron in the composition.

Inconel 718 is one of the popular grades containing nickel, chromium and molybdenum alloys as well as aluminum, niobium and titanium elements for excellent chemical and mechanical properties. This alloy provides excellent yield and tensile strength at elevated temperatures.
