NAS NW276 is a Ni Cr Mo alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. In this alloy, carbide precipitation in the heat affected zone (HAZ) is suppressed and corrosion resistance is improved by reducing the contents of C and Si.

It is used in flue gas desulfurization systems because of its excellent resistance to sulfur compounds and chloride ions encounted in most scrubbers. C 276 alloy has excellent resistance to pitting and to stress corrosion cracking. It is also one of the few materials that withstands the corrosive effects of wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide.

Alloy 22 (UNS N06022) is the most versatile Nickel Chromium Molybdenum Tungsten alloy with controlled Iron. Due to Alloy 22’s content this alloy exhibits excellent resistance to both oxidising and reducing acid environments as well as those containing mixed acids.

ASTM B619 UNS N10276 Alloy C276 Tube covers 2 classes under this specification. In class 1, the Hastelloy C276 Tube is furnished in an as welded and solution annealed condition or these tubes could be welded along with being sized and solution annealed.

Incoloy 825 is a nickel iron chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper and titanium. This nickel steel alloy’s chemical composition is designed to provide exceptional resistance to many corrosive environments

Inconel 600 alloy is a nickel chromium stabilized alloy. It has very good oxidation resistance at higher temperatures. In addition, it has excellent resistance to carburizing and chloride containing atmospheres. It is a non magnetic alloy with very good mechanical properties. Inconel 601 is a chromium and nickel based material for applications requiring heat and corrosion resistance. This material stands out for its resistance to high temperature oxidation.

Thus precipitation hardening treatments are not required. This combination of elements also is responsible for superior resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments of unusual severity as well as to high temperature effects such as oxidation and carburization.

Hastelloy B2 is a nickel base wrought alloy with excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures.

Monel K500 Fasteners are thermally applied or manipulated to affect precipitation. This process is called age hardening. These fasteners have a greater tendency to stress corrosion cracking in a variety of harsh environments when exposed to the age hardening process. It has three times the yield strength compared to the standard version. Monel 500 material is an age-hardenable nickel-copper alloy that combines the corrosion resistance of Alloy 400 with the high strength corrosion fatigue and erosion resistance.

Incoloy 800 Bolts and Incoloy 800HT Bolts can be easily welded and machined through standard shop fabrication practices. However, due to the high strength of the alloys, they require higher power process equipment than standard austenitic stainless steels. Meanwhile, Incoloy 800 fasteners are iron, nickel and chrome alloy fasteners. It has excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization at soaring temperatures. They remain very stable at extreme temperatures and retain their austenitic structure.

Monel K500 fasteners are cold worked prior to precipitation hardening. The strength of the fasteners is stable to 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. Here, at this temperature, it becomes more ductile, reaching toughness around 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Higher strength and hardness after precipitation hardening compared to 400. Due to its numerous advantages, Monel K500 ASTM fasteners are used in a wide range of industries.

It has a higher melting point around 2400 degrees Fahrenheit to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit. Primarily Monel K500 grade is a spark resistant alloy. This becomes non-magnetic below -200 degrees Fahrenheit. In terms of cold working operations, magnetic structures can be achieved. The Monel nickel-copper composition of Monel 500 is highly resistant to corrosion, making it ideal for many types of industrial applications that require extreme environmental protection, such as salt water and strongly acidic conditions.

The chemical composition of Monel K500 ASTM is approximately 65% nickel, 30% copper and 3% aluminum. Monel 500 exhibits excellent corrosion resistance with added high strength corrosion fatigue and erosion resistance. Monel K500 fasteners are non-magnetic at high and low temperatures. The material has the same corrosion resistance as Monel Class 400.

For example, ASTM B574 bolts perform well at pressures around 5400 kPa during acid leaching.
