Super Duplex 2507 nut resistant to uniform corrosion by organic acids like formic and acetic acid

Super Duplex 2507 Lock Washers has excellent corrosion resistance in marine environments.Lock washers are designed to be tightened to a required torque beneath an ordinary fastener. They exert a spring tension that keeps the fastener from vibrating loose. They are often attached to the nut side of the fastener.

The combination of the ferritic phase and austenitic phase provides both high strength and excellent corrosion resistance.

Zeron 100?contains 25% chromium and 7% nickel and 3.6% molybdenum along with copper and tungsten additions. Zeron 100 has a 50¨C50 austenitic¨Cferritic structure. It also has greater resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking than exhibited by the standard 300 series stainless steels.

Super Duplex UNS S32750 bar has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chlorine containing environments. After heating to a solution treatment temperature of 1080¡ãC to 1120¡ãC, quenching is required.

This grade, with a tighter specification, is captioned as F60, equating to UNS S32205. Consequently, S32205 can be dual-certified as S31803 but not vice-versa.

ASTM A1082 specification alloy S31803 fasteners have higher pitting and crevice corrosion than stainless steel alloy 316. Due to its higher corrosion resistance, alloy grade UNS S31803 is able to exhibit better fatigue strength than other commonly used austenitic stainless steel grades in environments containing corrosive media.

S31803 Duplex Steel is a 22% chromium duplex (austenitic/ferritic) steel with moderate to good strength and good general corrosion/stress corrosion/cracking resistance.

In S31803, about half of the ferrite grains transform into austenite grains (“islands”) as the material cools to room temperature. The result is a microstructure of approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite.

Both ASME B16.5 and ASME B16.47 have endorsed pipe flanges made from a series of duplex stainless steel grades.

A high molybdenum superaustenitic with outstanding resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Suitable for use in pulp mill bleach plants, seawater heat exchangers and chemical process equipment.

2507 is also used in Flue Gas Scrubbing Equipment, Pulp and Paper Mill Equipment, Offshore Oil production/technology and Oil and gas industry equipment.

Duplex steel sheets are resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking at 150¡ãC.

Alloy 2507 is highly resistant to carbide-related intergranular corrosion.

The service temperature of 2205 duplex stainless steel should be limited to below 600¡ãF. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can make 2205 stainless steel brittle.

They also have excellent resistance to corrosion cracking and localized corrosion such as pitting, intergranular and crevice. Unlike other standard austenitic steels, UNS S31803 steel has excellent magnetic properties.

ASTM A479 Super Duplex UNS S32750 F53 Heavy Hex Nuts are kept together by a combination of their threads’ friction (by means of slight elastic distortion), a small widening of the bolt, and solidity of the components to be held together.

Compared with austenitic stainless steel, F51 duplex stainless steel has twice the compressive strength, and compared with 316L and 317L, the designer can reduce its weight.

Seamless pipe is not as strong as Duplex SS 2205 welded pipe, but is very dimensionally accurate. Dimensional accuracy is useful in highly sensitive applications where measurement and calculation accuracy is required.

Duplex-grade stainless steel alloys have ferritic/austenitic properties, giving these materials superior strength and excellent resistance to oxidation.
