All chrome molybdenum steel sheets are sedated and heat treated in accordance with ASTM A387, which also specifies minimum and maximum levels of the following elements in steel: Chemicals of Carbon, Manganese, Phosphorus, Sulfur, Silicon, Chromium, Molybdenum, Nickel, Vanadium requirements, columbium, boron, nitrogen, aluminum, titanium and zirconium. A387 boards must undergo product, chemical and tensile testing (documented in the MTC or material test certificate) – must meet specific requirements for tensile strength, yield strength and elongation.

A387 CrMo GR 11, GR22 and GR91 sheet constructions are suitable for various industries and applications such as furnace equipment, chemical processing, food processing, nuclear power plants, etc. These also include applications such as industrial boilers, heat exchangers, piping and pressure vessels. A/SA387 GR 5CLASS 2 A high-quality chrome-molybdenum alloy steel plate specially designed for use in weldable carbon steel pressure vessels at high temperatures. The added molybdenum gives the material higher temperature tensile strength, while the chromium provides better corrosion resistance.

To simplify identification, killed alloy steel SA 387 Gr 91 plates are marked with a capital “K”. Grade 91 is heat treated according to this specification. which the austenitic stainless steels are prone). With its high chromium and molybdenum
contents, it is able to withstand both oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids, and is resistant to
pitting and crevice attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides.

Hastelloy C276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium superalloy with an addition of tungsten designed to have excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of severe environments.Alloy C-276 is one of the most universally corrosion resistant alloys available today. It is used in a variety of environments ranging from moderately oxidizing to strong reducing conditions. Alloy C-276 has exceptional resistance to sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, formic acid, acetic acid, chlorides, solvents, wet chloride gas, hypochlorite and chlorine solutions.

ASTM/ASME A387/SA387 Alloy Steel Gr. 5 CL 1/2 is a chrome molybdenum alloy steel plate primarily used in welded boilers and pressure vessels designed for high temperature service. The Cr content was 5.00%, and the Mo content was 0.5%.

Grade 91 alloy steel plates shall be normalized and tempered heat treated or cooled by accelerated cooling by air blasting or liquid quenching, and then tempered. Grade 91 steel requires austenitizing at 1900 to 1975¡ãF [1040 to 1080¡ãC] and should be tempered at 1350 to 1470¡ãF [730 to 800¡ãC].
