Chemically, Incoloy fasteners are composed of nickel, iron and chromium as the primary alloy materials. In addition to these elements, trace amounts of molybdenum, copper and titanium are added to the B425 N08825 alloy. Components made from this alloy, including various Inconel 825 bolts and nuts, are less prone to deformation. This is because the alloy has a stable FCC microstructure. Like many conventional austenitic grade stainless steels, Alloy 825 threaded rod has a stable austenitic structure.

Alloy 825 flat bar (UNS N08825) has good mechanical properties from low to moderately high temperatures. However, exposure to temperatures above 1000 degrees Fahrenheit can cause microstructural changes that significantly reduce ductility and impact strength.

Incoloy 800/800H/800HT pipes are mainly made of nickel-iron-chromium alloy, which has excellent resistance to carburization and oxidation, and has good tensile strength. These steel alloys are the same. The only difference is the percentage of aluminum and titanium in these alloys.
