Incoloy 800 is an alloy whose primary constitution is made up of nickel, iron, and chromium. This particular alloy, unlike the former, has less than 50% nickel content in its chemical composition. Aside from their chemical makeup, the other points of distinction for both the alloys are their use in a specific set of applications or industries.

Incoloy 800H is a higher carbon version of the alloy 800. The Incoloy 800H Pipe is designed with a superior chemical composition consisting of 30 to 35% of nickel with 19 to 23% of chromium and other constituent alloys.

The alloy also exhibits resistance to physical deterioration, e.g. – surface pitting and cracking.

Inconel 800, 800H and 800HT are nickel-iron-chromium alloys with excellent strength and good rust and carburization resistance at high temperature exposure. 800H can not be corroded in many kinds of media. Its high nickel content made it have good stress corrosion resistance cracking properties in the water corrosion condition. High Chromium content made it can better resist pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. This alloy can resist nitric acid and organic acid corrosion, but it is not so fine in the sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.
