Alloy C 276 (UNS N10276/ 2.4819) is known for its corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive media. The high molybdenum content imparts resistance to localized corrosion such as pitting. Low carbon minimizes carbide precipitation during welding to maintain the resistance of the welded joint heat affected zone to intergranular erosion. It is used in chemical processing, pollution control, pulp and paper, industrial and municipal waste treatment, and recovery of “sour” natural gas. Applications in air pollution control include stack liners, ducts, dampers, scrubbers, stack gas reheaters, fans and fan guards. In chemical processing, the alloy is used to make components such as heat exchangers, reaction vessels, evaporators and transfer piping.

Monel 400 Welded Pipe (NA13, N04400) offer hardness, strength and corrosion resistance with good fabrication capabilities. Monel 400 ERW Pipe can easily be welded by gas metal arc, gas-tungsten arc or shielded metal arc processes using appropriate filler metals.

Solved other issues concerning fabricability. Stringent chemistry control along with years of development has resulted in the alloy used today, both in Alloy B2 and Alloy B-3.

The Incoloy 800h Pipe produced in accordance with the ASTM B407 specification is supplied either in the form of cold worked or hot finished manner. Aside from conforming to the chemistry requirements of the said specification the Sb 407 UNS N08810 Incoloy Alloy 800h Round Pipe, is to be heat treated at determined annealing temperatures. Another requirement that needs to be adhered to is the Sb 407 N08810 Grade 1.4958 Pipe needs to be tested and measured via the Planimetric method.

Hastelloy C-22 can be used in conjunction with Hastelloy C-276 to prevent joint corrosion. Its composition is nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten, giving it some of the resistance that is characteristic of C-276. The metal is excellent against overall and localized corrosion, along with chemical, oxidation, and reducing environments. Tests in environments containing wet chlorine and nitric acid have also proved that Hastelloy C-22 shows exceptional resistance. However, one unique characteristic is its weldability, which allows the metal to be used as a filler in many cases where other metals have failed to stop corrosion. These characteristics make Hastelloy C-22 commonly applied in chemical productions for food and beverages and pharmaceutical tools.

Polished nickel tubes and sleeves are some variants for special purposes. Sometimes used as a composite tube. Nickel alloy composite pipe is a fusion of corrosive pipe and non-corrosive nickel pipe. With nickel’s corrosion-resistant properties, other metal pipes can be clad or covered to ensure cost-effectiveness while eliminating corrosion. Compared with ordinary metal pipes, pure nickel alloy welded pipes are expensive, but the benefits are better.

Commercially pure (99.6%) wrought nickel is essentially the same as Nickel 200, but has a lower carbon content to prevent intergranular carbon embrittlement at temperatures above 600¡ãF (315¡ãC).
