Inconel 601 fasteners are designed to withstand severe corrosion and high temperature exposure. These fasteners contain nickel and chromium alloys for excellent corrosion, heat and oxidation resistance. Nickel content retains ductility and high temperature strength after prolonged use. Fasteners of this grade produce a tightly adherent scale that resists spalling under severe thermal cycling conditions.

Nickel alloy 718 bolts are also used for superheat power reasons at room or superheated temperatures for first-class corrosion resistance including resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, in addition to polysulfonic acid strain corrosion cracking.

Alloy 600 is relatively immune to most neutral and alkaline salt solutions and is used in some corrosive environments. The alloy is resistant to steam and mixtures of steam, air and carbon dioxide.

Inconel 625 Stud Bolts are used mostly in cyclic cooling and heating applications. They are useful in electric resistance welding applications. The bolts are used in housing of engines, honeycomb structures and in hydraulic lines.

The addition of these two elements to Alloy 625 bolts eliminates the need for a precipitation hardening treatment because Inconel 625 nuts have a hardening effect. Inconel 625 fasteners provide high strength properties and high temperature resistance.

The optimum conditions for Alloy 601 seamless pipe depend on the type of application and the service temperatures involved. Generally, Alloy 601 pipe in solution treated condition is used in fracture-limited applications, where temperatures can be as high as about 1000¡ãF and still may rise.

INCONEL 625 is a nickel-chromium alloy with an addition of molybdenum and niobium. These additions give the alloy better mechanical properties and better corrosion resistance without having to harden the material.
