The 601 grade has 58% nickel, 21% chromium, carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, copper and iron in the composition. In more severe corrosive environments, the combination of nickel and chromium provides resistance to oxidizing chemicals, while high nickel and molybdenum contents provide resistance to non-oxidizing environments.

INCONEL 718 alloy was primarily chosen by design engineers for its high strength in extreme temperature conditions at both ends of the spectrum. It can be used from low temperatures all the way up to 1300¡ãF/704¡ãC. It exhibits extremely high yield, tensile and creep rupture properties across the entire range. It also exhibits excellent tensile and impact strength.

Another thing to note about Inconel 718 Elbows is that they have excellent weldability, including resistance to post weld cracking.
