ASTM A182 Grade F2 is an alloy steel used for preliminary forming into forged products. The properties cited apply to the annealing conditions. F2 is the ASTM designation for the material. K12122 is the UNS number.

Alloy 20 (Alloy 20) is an iron-based austenitic alloy developed to resist sulfuric acid corrosion. It has excellent resistance to sulfuric acid corrosion; it has strong resistance to phosphoric acid, nitric acid and chloride environments, chloride stress corrosion, pitting corrosion and crack corrosion. Therefore, alloy 20 has the name of anti-corrosion alloy; it has a wide range of applications: such as: chemical, food, medicine, power production and plastics industries will use it. For resistance to pitting corrosion and chloride corrosion, stress corrosion cracking problems, etc., alloy 20 is often used.

Chromium Molybdenum Alloy Steel or Chromium Molybdenum, CrMo is an alloy steel used for high temperature and high pressure service.

Flanges are usually welded or threaded. Flange joints are made by bolting two flanges together with a gasket between them to provide a seal.

Chromium molybdenum is used in power generation and petrochemical industries for its tensile strength, corrosion resistance and high temperature strength.

Low alloy steel ASTM A182 F11 flanges typically have a total alloy content of 1.5% – 5%. Its common alloying elements are manganese, chromium, silicon, nickel, molybdenum and vanadium. It may contain up to four or five different quantities of these alloys. At the same time, the increased strength of the alloy steel F11 flange may require higher forming pressures. Annealing of SA 182 Gr F11 steel flanges is accomplished by water quenching by thorough immersion at 1725¡ãF – 1850¡ãF (941¡ãC – 1010¡ãC) and can only be hardened by cold work.

Inconel600 is suitable for welding with the same material or other metals by any traditional welding process, such as tungsten electrode inert gas welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub-arc welding, metal inert gas shielded welding, molten arc inert gas shielded welding, and pulsed arc welding. Welding is the preferred solution. When using manual arc welding, it is recommended to use a shielding gas mixed with various components (Ar+He+H2+CO2).
Welding of Incoloy 825 must be carried out in the annealed condition and cleaned with a stainless steel wire brush to remove stains, dust and various markings. When welding the root of the weld, extreme care must be taken (Argon 99.99) to obtain the best quality of the root weld so that the weld does not produce oxides after the root has been welded. Color from the weld heat-affected zone should be removed with a stainless steel brush while the weld area is not cool.

In order to improve the thermal efficiency of the reheat steam pipeline of the power plant, the reheat temperature can be designed to be 621¡ãC, that is, the supercritical temperature. The United States first developed ASTM A335 P92 alloy steel in the late 1980s to meet the heat resistance requirements of this high temperature power plant.
