Hastelloy C2000 is available in a variety of sizes and thicknesses, this type of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy is renowned for its superior strength and corrosion resistance.

The low carbon minimizes carbide precipitation during welding to maintain resistance to intergranular attack in heat-affected zones of welded joints.

In Hastelloy C276 hex bolts, the chromium content is increased to about 21% and the molybdenum content is reduced to about 13%. Due to lower carbon content in the alloy, there is reduced precipitation of carbides as well as other phases in the heat-affected weld zones, which in turn ensures uniform resistance to corrosion in the flange.

HASTELLOY X is a wrought nickel-based alloy with excellent high temperature strength and oxidation resistance. All product forms are excellent in forming and welding. Although HASTELLOY X is primarily known for its heat and oxidation resistance, it also has good resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and good carburization, as well as excellent resistance to reducing or carburizing atmospheres. Alloy X is one of the most widely used nickel-based superalloys for gas turbine engine components.

Machining of Hastelloy UNS N10276 polished plates is best done in the annealed condition. Since this particular alloy grade is prone to work hardening, only low cutting speeds are required.

Hastelloy C276 Sheets is a solid-solution-strengthened, nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with a small amount of tungsten, which exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in an assortment of harsh environments.

Alloy B (UNS N10001) was developed to resist hydrochloric acid. Hastelloy B2 has replaced it. Alloy B3 (UNS N10675) is a newer variant with higher thermal stability. These alloy B2 bolts are a wrought nickel molybdenum alloy that can be used in the as-welded condition. It is highly resistant to hydrochloric acid of all concentrations and temperatures. Known as UNS N10665 bolts, these bolts are also resistant to stress corrosion cracking and pitting.

Hastelloy B3 has excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures. In addition, it greatly improves structural stability compared to previous B-type alloys, reducing concerns during welding, fabrication and service.

The basic composition of Hastelloy C276 round bar alloy is chemically composed of three elements, which are nickel, molybdenum and chromium.

Hastelloy C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to a variety of chemical process environments, including strong oxidizing agents such as ferric and cupric chlorides, hot fouling media (organic and inorganic), chlorine, formic and acetic acid, acetic anhydride , seawater and brine solutions.

However, it should be noted that in environments where C-276 alloy weld joints are subject to attack, C-22 weld filler material should be considered. Hastelloy Nickel Alloy B2 is a very chemically resistant alloy with high resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking in the heat affected zone. In particular, this alloy performs well in harsh environments such as sulfuric acid, hydrogen chloride and phosphoric acid.
