Alloy seamless steel pipes are mainly used for high pressure and high temperature pipes and equipment such as power plants, nuclear power plants, high pressure boilers, high temperature superheaters and reheaters. It is made of high-quality carbon steel, alloy structural steel and stainless heat-resistant steel, processed by hot rolling (extrusion, expansion) or cold rolling (drawing).

The material can be heat treated to anneal and normalize in air, or quench and temper in polymer or oil. Alloy 4130 has a lower carbon content of 0.28% – 0.33% and slightly higher amounts of other elements. And the material is easy to process. 4140 low alloy steel has a range of 2. 375″ to 12.750″ OD with wall thicknesses ranging from 0.375″ to 1.5″. Alloy 4145 has a slightly higher carbon content than 4140 and 4130 types of pipes.

Alloy 20 (Alloy 20) is an iron-based austenitic alloy developed to resist sulfuric acid corrosion. It has excellent resistance to sulfuric acid corrosion; it has strong resistance to phosphoric acid, nitric acid and chloride environments, chloride stress corrosion, pitting corrosion and crack corrosion. Therefore, alloy 20 has the name of anti-corrosion alloy; it has a wide range of applications: such as: chemical, food, medicine, power production and plastics industries will use it. For resistance to pitting corrosion and chloride corrosion, stress corrosion cracking problems, etc., alloy 20 is often used.

Chromium molybdenum has a better strength-to-weight ratio than steel, which enables designers to use thinner walled tubing or smaller diameter tubing to reduce overall weight.
