1.4529 (UNS N08926) has very high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in halide media and in acidic environments containing sulfur and hydrogen
It can effectively resist chloride ion stress corrosion, and also has good corrosion resistance and good stability in oxidizing and reducing media.
The mechanical properties are slightly better than 904L, and it can be used in the manufacture of pressure vessels from -196 to 400 ¡ãC.

S32205 is a duplex stainless steel with twice the strength of austenitic stainless steel. Duplex stainless steel composed of 21% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloy. It has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local stress corrosion resistance. The yield strength of duplex stainless steels is twice that of austenitic stainless steels, a feature that allows designers to reduce weight when designing products, making this alloy more affordable than 316, 317L. This alloy is particularly suitable for use in the -50¡ãF/+600¡ãF temperature range. For applications outside this temperature range, this alloy can also be considered, but there are some limitations, especially when applied to welded structures. Duplex stainless steel has twice the compressive strength compared to austenitic stainless steel, and designers can reduce its weight compared to 316L and 317L. Alloy 2205 is particularly suitable for use in the -50¡ãF/+600¡ãF temperature range, and can also be used at lower temperatures under severe restrictions (especially for welded structures).

Alloy 20 (Alloy 20) is an iron-based austenitic alloy developed to resist sulfuric acid corrosion. Therefore, alloy 20 has the name of anti-corrosion alloy; it has a wide range of applications: such as: chemical, food, medicine, power production and plastics industries will use it. HastelloyC-276 (Hastelloy) is a tungsten-nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with extremely low silicon-carbon content and is considered to be an all-around corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy. The key moisture-resistant chlorine, various air-oxidizing fluorides, isopropyl titanate solutions, hydrochloric acid and air-oxidizing salts, have good corrosion resistance in ultra-low temperature and standing temperature sulfuric acid. Therefore, in the past 30 years, it has been widely used in extremely corrosive natural environments such as chemical plants, petrochemicals, flue gas desulfurization, pulp and paper industry, and environmental protection.

Corrosion resistance

The aluminum alloy has the following characteristics: 1. It has good corrosion resistance to most corrosive substances under the two conditions of air oxidation and repair. ¢ÚIt has good resistance to pitting corrosion, void corrosion and intergranular corrosion. The higher content of Mo and Cr makes the aluminum alloy resistant to corrosion by chloride ion content, and the W element further improves the corrosion resistance. At the same time, Hastelloy C-276 aluminum alloy is one of the only types of raw materials that are resistant to wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide saturated solutions. Ester solution has obvious corrosion resistance. It is one of the very few raw materials that can be used as a hot sulfuric acid saturated solution.

These are said to be specifications for alloy flanges for high pressure and service. The 3% carbon content of these flanges provides a lot of room for improved weldability, which also increases their overall strength.

As a super duplex stainless steel, it combines the desirable aspects of austenitic and ferritic steels. Higher chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content results in a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) > 40, providing superior pitting and crevice corrosion capabilities to austenitic and duplex stainless steels in virtually all corrosive media, and critical pitting temperature over 50¡ãC.

ASTM/ASME A387/SA387 Alloy Steel Gr. 5 CL 1/2 is a chrome molybdenum alloy steel plate primarily used in welded boilers and pressure vessels designed for high temperature service. The Cr content was 5.00%, and the Mo content was 0.5%.

The ASTM A320 specification, originally approved in 1948, covers alloy steel and stainless steel bolting materials for low temperature service.
