Hastelloy C-2000 Fastener, also known by many as Alloy C-2000, is a versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion. The C-2000 fastener (UNS N06200) is unique among other Hastelloy alloys with approximately 1.6% copper added to its chemical composition. Hastelloy C-4 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with outstanding high temperature stability. It has high ductility and corrosion resistance. It’s high temperature resistance up to 1900 ¡ãF (1038 ¡ãC) makes it suitable for most chemical process application in the “as” welded condition.
Like other nickel alloys, it is ductile, easy to form and weld, and possesses exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-bearing solutions (a form of degradation to
which the austenitic stainless steels are prone). With its high chromium and molybdenum
contents, it is able to withstand both oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids, and is resistant to
pitting and crevice attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides.

Like other nickel alloys, HASTELLOY C-22 alloy is fairly ductile, has excellent weldability, and is easily fabricated into industrial parts. It is available in sheet, sheet, strip, billet, bar, wire, tube and tube. Typical applications may include: reactors, heat exchangers and columns.

Machining of Hastelloy UNS N10276 polished plates is best done in the annealed condition. Since this particular alloy grade is prone to work hardening, only low cutting speeds are required.
