Hastelloy C2000 is available in a variety of sizes and thicknesses, this type of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy is renowned for its superior strength and corrosion resistance.

It demonstrates good resistance to neutral and reducing environments. This alloy creates a tenacious oxide, protective film that does not spall off, but it retains superior oxidation resistance at soaring temperatures.

This provides greatly enhanced resistance to sulfuric acid. It also has a high chromium content, to maximize its resistance to oxidizing chemicals and process streams contaminated with ferric ions and dissolved oxygen.

Hastelloy B2 is also known as UNS N10665 that is corrosion resistant and solid solution molybdenum-nickel alloy.

It is commonly referred to by the tradename Hastelloy C22 and the universal designation UNS N06022. C22 has excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance, great mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures, and good fabrication properties.

They’re used in steam generator tubing in the nuclear power industry, in high-temperature aircraft systems, and in oil and gas extraction programs where corrosion-, pressure- and temperature-resistant tubing is required

C22 nickel alloy fasteners offer better overall corrosion resistance than its sister alloy Hastelloy C-276, and more specifically, it offers better protection when used in certain saturated wet chlorine environments. Additionally, its high chromium content provides C22 fasteners with better resistance to oxidative media than C276. This makes it excellent resistance to chloride-induced pitting, although in most cases C-276 fasteners are a more cost-effective option due to their availability, especially in sizes smaller than 1/ 2″ case.

The basic composition of Hastelloy C276 round bar alloy is chemically composed of three elements, which are nickel, molybdenum and chromium.

Alloy B2 (UNS N10665 / W.Nr. 2.4617) is a solid solution strengthened, nickel-molybdenum alloy, typically used in extreme reducing conditions.

Hastelloy B3 fasteners offer the same excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid and other strong reducing chemicals as other B alloys, including B2, but with significantly enhanced thermal stability and easier fabrication. In addition, B3 fasteners are highly resistant to attack from cut lines and heat affected zones. Like B2 alloys, B3 fasteners are not recommended for use in the presence of iron or copper salts that can cause rapid corrosion failure.

Hastelloy C2000 fasteners combine the excellent resistance to oxidizing media of C276 with excellent resistance to non-oxidizing environments, making it a unique alloy for protecting chemical process equipment under a variety of conditions, including fluids contaminated with iron ions . It is designed to provide greater versatility than other Hastelloy alloys. This is achieved by increasing the content of chromium and molybdenum and adding a small but effective amount of copper (1.6%). The addition of copper increases the temperature capability of C2000 fasteners in sulfuric, hydrofluoric, and dilute hydrochloric acids.

Hastelloy C276 bushings have excellent resistance to strong oxidizing salt solutions such as ferric chloride and cupric chloride. Alloy C-276 has excellent phosphoric acid resistance at all temperatures below boiling point and concentrations below 65%.

Forgings are made by forcing materials into customized shapes either by the force of a falling ram upon an anvil or by a die press enclosing a piece of metal and squeeze-forming the part. Forging is a manufacturing process involving the shaping of metal using localized compressive forces.

This nickel-molybdenum alloy is typically used under extreme reducing conditions and has a much lower composition of carbon, silicon and iron than Hastelloy B (Alloy B). Screws made from this alloy are also known as UNS N10665 fasteners.

The low carbon minimizes carbide precipitation during welding to maintain resistance to intergranular attack in heat-affected zones of welded joints.

Hastelloy C-276 pipe fittings refer to factory-made wrought nickel alloy fittings manufactured to ASTM B366 UNS N10276. It can be designated as CRHC276(corrosion resistant fittings) or WPHC276(ASME pressure fittings). The fittings can be manufactured from pipe or tube of ASTM B619, B622, B626 UNS N10276, plate, sheet or strip of ASTM B575 UNS N10276, forging or bar of ASTM B564, B462, B472, B574 Gr. N10276. The Hastelloy C-276 fittings are mainly furnished in 3 connection types: butt welding, threaded, socket welding, covering a variety of standard specifications.
