What distinguishes the Hastelloy B3 fastener from its predecessor is its excellent ductility during transient exposure to intermediate temperatures (i.e. machining, heat treatment) due to its lower carbon content. HASTELLOY C276 is one of the few alloys resistant to wet chloride gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions.

Hastelloy G-30 is a high chromium nickel-base alloy which has superior corrosion resistance over most other nickel and iron-base alloys in commercial phosphoric acid as well as many complex environments containing highly oxidizing acids such as nitric/hydrochloric, nitric/hydrofluoric and sulfuric acids.

It has great resistance to stress-corrosion cracking and pitting. Hastelloy B-2? also features hydrochloric acid resistance at all concentrations and temperatures.

These alloys can function at very high temperatures and in severe mechanical stress environments, and also where high surface stability is required. They have high creep and oxidation resistance.

Another difference between Astm B626 Nickel Alloy C276 Welded Pipe and Alloy C is that Alloy C276 pipe has better machinability.

UNS N10665 or W.Nr. 2.4617, Hastelloy B2 (also known as “Alloy B2”), is a solid solution reinforced Ni Mori with low additions of carbon, silicon and iron. It can be used to reduce chemical environment and chemical processing industry. However, Hastelloy B2 should not be used in temperatures from 1000¡ãF to 1600¡ãF and should not be used in oxidizing media.

Hastelloy C276 material is designed with good mechanical properties. They have a minimum tensile strength of 601Mpa and a minimum yield strength of 204Mpa. This material makes the alloy easy to machine and elongate.
