HASTELLOY C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with universal corrosion resistance unmatched by any other alloy. Nickel- and cobalt-based corrosion-, temperature- and wear-resistant alloys, such as Hastelloy B2, are classified as moderate to difficult when machined, but it should be emphasized that these alloys can be produced at satisfactory speeds using conventional production methods processing. During machining, these alloys harden rapidly, generate high heat during cutting, weld to the cutting tool surface, and provide high resistance to metal removal due to their high shear strength.

Typical chemical process industry (CPI) applications for Hastelloy C22 punch gaskets include reactors, heat exchangers and columns. Hastelloy C22 flat washers have excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, tool marks and weld heat affected zone erosion.

The distinguishing feature of Hastelloy B3 hex bolts is their ability to maintain excellent ductility during transient exposure to intermediate temperatures. Hastelloy B3 bolts are made of an alloy containing nickel and molybdenum. These bolts are resistant to corrosion, pitting and stress corrosion cracking. These bolts can also withstand a variety of acid binding environments, such as those containing sulfuric, acetic, formic, and phosphoric acids.

Hastelloy Nickel Alloy B2 is a very chemically resistant alloy with high resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking in the heat affected zone. In particular, this alloy performs well in harsh environments such as sulfuric acid, hydrogen chloride and phosphoric acid. Alloy B is also known as WNR 2.4617 bolts and we offer these types of alloys in all material grades, gauges and sizes.

It is used in flue gas desulfurizations systems because of its excellent resistance to sulfur compounds and chloride ions encountered in most scrubbers. C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to pitting and to stress- corrosion cracking.
