This provides greatly enhanced resistance to sulfuric acid. It also has a high chromium content, to maximize its resistance to oxidizing chemicals and process streams contaminated with ferric ions and dissolved oxygen.

G30 alloy can prevent the formation of grain boundary precipitation in the heat affected zone of welding, so its welded products are suitable for various chemical treatment engineering applications.

Hastelloy can be used with all common welding methods, but oxyacetylene and submerged arc processes are not recommended when the manufactured product is intended for corrosion service.

The thermal stability of Hastelloy B3 pipes is superior.

Alloy C-276 has excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking. It is also one of the few materials that can withstand the corrosive effects of wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide.

Alloy C276 Forged Flange Hastelloy C276 Flanges are made up of the nickel chromium molybdenum alloy that is called hastelloy. The composition includes 50.99% nickel, 14.5% chromium, 15% molybdenum and carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, cobalt, iron and phosphorus in it. The Hastelloy C276 Flanges have high melting point of 1370 degrees Celsius. This high melting point allows for higher operating temperatures of the flanges. The material also has 790MPa minimum tensile strength and 355MPa minimum yield strength.

The flanges also have 8.89 grams per cubic centimeter density and 1370 degrees melting point. The DIN 2.4617 Socket Weld Flanges and other flanges are used in high temperature, high corrosive and high stress applications due to the higher mechanical properties.

Hastelloy B3 Ring Type Joint Flanges is ideally suited for applications requiring corrosion resistance superior to SS 304 and has good elevated temperature strength.

HASTELLOY C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with universal corrosion resistance unmatched by any other alloy. It has outstanding resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments including ferric and cupric chlorides, hot contaminated mineral acids, solvents, chlorine and chlorine contaminated (both organic and inorganic), dry chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, sea water and brine solutions and hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions. Alloy C276 also resists formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat affected zone making it useful for most chemical processes in the as-welded condition. It has excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking.

ANSI B16.11 Hastelloy B2 plugs have excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media including wet chlorine and mixtures including oxidizing or nitric acid.

C-276 alloy is normally solution heat-treated at 2050¡ãF (1121¡ãC) and rapid quenched. If possible, parts which have been hot-formed should be solution heat-treated prior to final fabrication or installation.

These Hastelloy B2 Weld Neck Flanges should not be used in oxidizing media or where oxidizing contaminants are available in reducing media.

UNS N10665 or W.Nr. 2.4617, Hastelloy B2 (also known as “Alloy B2”), is a solid solution reinforced Ni Mori with low additions of carbon, silicon and iron. However, Hastelloy B2 should not be used in temperatures from 1000¡ãF to 1600¡ãF and should not be used in oxidizing media.
