The primary alloy base materials for Hastelloy C276 include metals such as nickel, molybdenum and chromium. In addition to these three metals, Hastelloy C276 fasteners also have tungsten added. It is well known that the addition of tungsten to superalloys can improve the corrosion resistance of alloys in various harsh environments.

Alloy C276 (UNS N10276) is an austenitic nickel-molybdenumchromium alloy with a small addition
of tungsten.Hastelloy C-276 Alloy has excellent resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments, including strong oxidizers such as ferric and cupric chlorides, hot contaminated media (organic and inorganic), chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, and seawater and brine solutions.

Alloy 22 (UNS N06022) is the most versatile Nickel Chromium Molybdenum Tungsten alloy with controlled Iron. Due to Alloy 22’s content this alloy exhibits excellent resistance to both oxidising and reducing acid environments as well as those containing mixed acids.

Hastelloy C276 alloy is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium wrought alloy that is considered a “multifunctional corrosion-resistant alloy”. Hastelloy C276 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to both oxidizing and reducing media and excellent resistance to localized corrosion attack. The material also contains cobalt, tungsten, iron, silicon, manganese, carbon and vanadium in its composition. Due to this special combination, C276 Hastelloy bolts are also very resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion.

Hastelloy C276 clad plate is a chromium, nickel, iron, and molybdenum grade that is solid-solution strengthened.

NAS NW276 is a Ni Cr Mo alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. In this alloy, carbide precipitation in the heat affected zone (HAZ) is suppressed and corrosion resistance is improved by reducing the contents of C and Si.

Although there are several variants of Hastelloy nickel alloys, Hastelloy C-276 is by far the most widely used.

Hastelloy C-276 fasteners and other products in the Hastelloy family have excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidizing and reducing chemicals. Due to its adaptability, Hastelloy C-276 alloy can be used in problem areas and is more likely to occur in process areas. In Hastelloy C276 hex bolts, the chromium content is increased to about 21% and the molybdenum content is reduced to about 13%. Hastelloy C276 Heavy Duty Hex Bolts also provide optimum resistance to environments encountered in reducing and oxidizing conditions in the process stream.

Hastelloy B2 Seamless Pipes is a solid solution strengthened, nickel ¨C molybdenum alloy, typically used in extreme reducing conditions.

The greatest advantage of Hastelloy B3 bolts compared to B-2 alloys is their ability to maintain excellent ductility during transient exposure to intermediate temperatures.

Hastelloy C276 Flanges are made up of the nickel chromium molybdenum alloy that is called hastelloy. The composition includes 50.99% nickel, 14.5% chromium, 15% molybdenum and carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, cobalt, iron and phosphorus in it.

Welding of this alloy is similar to that of the C-22 alloy. Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) are commonly used to weld C-276 alloys.

It is recommended that the alloy be welded in the solution annealed condition with C-276 filler metal.

Like other nickel alloys, it is ductile, easy to form and weld, and possesses exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-bearing solutions (a form of degradation to which the austenitic stainless steels are prone).

Hastelloy X Bolts have been widely used in combustion zone components of turbine engines such as transition ducts, combustion chambers, booms and flame holders, as well as afterburners, exhaust pipes and cabin heaters. This alloy is recommended for industrial furnace applications due to its unusual resistance to oxidation, reduction and neutral atmosphere.

2.4819 has very good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, C276 is worth mentioning for its excellent resistance to aggressive media under oxidizing and reducing conditions.

They combine the outstanding resistance to the oxidizing medium of Hastelloy C276 with superior resistance to non-oxidizing situations.

As most bent pipes do not alter the ends of the piping, pipe bends are often easy to implement within a processing system using standard welding processes, flanges, or other connection methods.

HASTELLOY(r) C276 can be formed by cold working using conventional techniques.

The flanges are furnished in solution heat treated circumstances, thus these are heat treated at 2150 degree F and get cooled rapidly.

HASTELLOY X pipe bend is a wrought nickel base alloy with excellent high temperature strength and oxidation resistance. All of the product forms are excellent in terms of forming and welding.

C22 has excellent resistance to chloride-induced localized corrosion, including pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.

Alloy C276 plate is a high strength grade designed to be thicker than 6mm. The panels have a minimum tensile strength of 601mpa and a minimum yield strength of 204.8mpa. C276 composite panels are made by bonding two or metals in place. Meanwhile, Alloy C276 is resistant to oxidation at 1800¡ãF in the open air. However, alloy C276 is generally not recommended for high temperature service. The high molybdenum content makes alloy C276 prone to catastrophic oxidation under stagnant conditions, such as under solid deposits.

This nickel alloy also offers optimum resistance to environments where reducing and oxidizing conditions are encountered in process streams. This is beneficial in multi- purpose plants where such ¡°upset¡± conditions occur frequently.

Alloy C-276 is also defined as Alloy C276, Inconel C 276 or Hastelloy C, which is a superalloy with a perfect combination of molybdenum, nickel and chromium. Tungsten is added, which is designed to provide excellent corrosion resistance even in harsh environments.
