Alloy 20 (Alloy 20) is an iron-based austenitic alloy developed to resist sulfuric acid corrosion. It has excellent resistance to sulfuric acid corrosion; it has strong resistance to phosphoric acid, nitric acid and chloride environments, chloride stress corrosion, pitting corrosion and crack corrosion. Therefore, alloy 20 has the name of anti-corrosion alloy; it has a wide range of applications: such as: chemical, food, medicine, power production and plastics industries will use it. For resistance to pitting corrosion and chloride corrosion, stress corrosion cracking problems, etc., alloy 20 is often used.

Due to its ease of welding, ASTM A335 Grade P91 Welded Pipe can be welded well into piping systems. Pipes have different tolerance classes and test standards depending on the application requirements, grade, schedule and pressure rating of the pipe material.

Although acceptable fouling levels are considered beneficial to the alloy, in moderate cases, fouling deposits on Astm A182 F9 flange surfaces can act as a barrier to excessive corrosion. When flanges are produced using specification ASTM A182, they work well at high temperatures, albeit in applications with high pressure.

It is almost the same as AISI 4130 chrome-molybdenum alloy steel, but with a slightly higher carbon content. Compared to AISI/ASTM 4130 alloy steel, AISI 4140 steel has a higher carbon content, which provides higher strength and heat treating capability, but also has limited weldability.

Monel 400? can be used in temperatures up to 1000 oF. Monel K-500 is basically a better version of 400 and has higher strength and hardness.
