Grade P11 is known as chrome molybdenum alloy steel. Compared to carbon steel, the properties of this alloy steel are much higher. Typically, alloy steels such as ASTM A335 P11 pipe tend to have much higher element percentages than conventional steels. So take their efficiency to the next level. The alloy composition of the P11 grade consists of chromium and molybdenum, with a chromium percentage of approximately 1.25. The content of molybdenum in the alloy steel P11 seamless pipe is about 0.5%.

The weld neck flange comprises of a round fitting that extends beyond the rim of the circumference. These flanges, typically manufactured from forging, are actually welded to pipes.

The P2 and P12 steel pipes of A335 should be made by the coarse grain melting method. Steel should meet chemical composition, tensile properties and hardness requirements.

Alloy Steel F5 Flanges are square-shaped and are instrumental in interfacing pipes of nominal bore size without welding and are reasonable for high pressure hydraulic frameworks. ASTM A182 F5 Lap Joint Flanges go by a range of names, including back up flange, loose hubbed flange, loose ring flange and van stone flange. ASTM A182 Gr F5 Blind Flanges are commonly used in petrochemical, pipe engineering, public services and water works.

It must be slid into the pipe before welding. In this case, it’s a double weld on both sides (i.e. inside and outside), so it provides durability that helps avoid leaks.

A182-F11 has good process performance and welding performance, and high durable strength at 500 ~ 550¡æ.

Chromium and molybdenum are high in A335 pipes. While molybdenum improves overall strength, resistance, elasticity, hardenability and overall quality, molybdenum ensures that the material is more resistant to softening, inhibits grain growth and reduces the chance of embrittlement. It is the only additive that improves the high temperature resistance and also improves the corrosion resistance of the steel.
