Super alloys have good oxidation and creep resistance and can be strengthened by precipitation hardening, solid-solution hardening and work hardening methods. Some applications that Hastelloy X is recommended for includes gas turbine engines, combustor cans, spray bars and flame holders. Hastelloy X pipe bend is also known as Inconel HX, Nicrofer 4722 Co, and Pyromet 680. It can also function under high mechanical stress and high temperatures and also in places that require high surface stability. It has good ductility after prolonged exposure at high-temperatures, good resistance to chloride,stress-corrosion cracking and is resistant to carburization and nitriding.
