Hastelloy C276 bushings have excellent resistance to strong oxidizing salt solutions such as ferric chloride and cupric chloride. Alloy C-276 has excellent phosphoric acid resistance at all temperatures below boiling point and concentrations below 65%.
Hastelloy C276 bushings have high nickel and molybdenum contents to provide good corrosion resistance in reducing environments.
Hastelloy C276 has a low carbon content to minimize grain boundary carbide precipitation during welding to maintain corrosion resistance in the heat affected zone of the welded joint
Hastelloy C276 is resistant to localized corrosion such as pitting and stress corrosion cracking.
Hastelloy C276 is one of the few materials that can withstand the corrosive effects of wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide.
Hastelloy can be used with all common welding methods, but oxyacetylene and submerged arc processes are not recommended when the manufactured product is intended for corrosion service.
Hastelloy C-276 bushings are also used in sour gas wells, pulp and paper production, waste disposal, pharmaceutical and food processing equipment. Other important properties of this alloy Nickel Alloy C-276 and Hastelloy C-276 include its resistance to oxidizing agents.
Nickel Alloy C-276 and Hastelloy C-276 can be welded by all common welding methods (oxyacetylene is not recommended).
Alloy 600 is relatively immune to most neutral and alkaline salt solutions and is used in some corrosive environments. The alloy is resistant to steam and mixtures of steam, air and carbon dioxide.
Its typical corrosion applications include titanium dioxide production (chloride route), perchloroethylene synthesis, vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and magnesium chloride. Alloy 600 is used in chemical and food processing, heat treatment, phenol condensers, soap making, vegetable and fatty acid containers, and more.
Resistant to various corrosive media. Chromium content provides better resistance in oxidizing conditions than alloys 200 and 201, while high nickel provides good resistance in reducing conditions.
A butt weld pipe fitting is designed to be welded on site at its end(s) to connect pipe(s) together and allow change in direction or pipe diameter, or branching or ending.
This fitting then becomes part of a system for transporting fluids (oil, gas, steam, chemicals, …) in a safe and efficient manner, over short or long distances.
INCONEL alloy 625 is designated as UNS N06625, Werkstoff Number 2.4856 and ISO NW6625 and is listed in NACE MR-01- 75.
Alloy 400 (UNS N04400) is a nickel-copper alloy with high strength (comparable to structural steel) and toughness.
They are used in plumbing fixtures such as domestic, commercial and industrial water supply lines, machinery and process equipment. They are also installed on the pump line and their sole purpose is to remove air blockages.
Nickel alloys pipe fittings are metals made from combining nickel as the primary element with another material. It merges two materials to deliver more desirable features, such as higher strength or corrosion-resistance. Because of its unique properties, it’s used in a variety of equipment spanning multiple industries.
Monel 400 operates in a wide range of acidic and alkaline environments and has excellent ductility and thermal conductivity. Its properties make it ideal for heavy-duty applications and those requiring a high melting point and toughness in the harshest conditions.
Monel 400 contains the same levels of nickel and copper as the natural nickel ore found.
Alloy 625 (UNS N06625) is available in Round Bar, Flat Bar, Extruded section, Pipe, Tube, Plate, Sheet, Strip, Plate, Hexagon, Forging Stock, Extruded Section, Wire and Powder.
