In Hastelloy C276 hex bolts, the chromium content is increased to about 21% and the molybdenum content is reduced to about 13%. Each of them have structural differences. These flanges are made up of a nickel, chromium, molybdenum alloy that has 50% nickel 14% chromium, 15% molybdenum and carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, cobalt, iron and phosphorus in the composition.

Hastelloy 276 bolts and fasteners are suitable for most chemical applications in the welded condition. However, it should be noted that in environments where C-276 alloy weld joints are subject to attack, C-22 weld filler material should be considered. Alloy C276 Forged Flange Hastelloy C276 Flanges are made up of the nickel chromium molybdenum alloy that is called hastelloy. The composition includes 50.99% nickel, 14.5% chromium, 15% molybdenum and carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, cobalt, iron and phosphorus in it. The Hastelloy C276 Flanges have high melting point of 1370 degrees Celsius. This high melting point allows for higher operating temperatures of the flanges. The material also has 790MPa minimum tensile strength and 355MPa minimum yield strength.

The high molybdenum content of Hastelloy?* C276 provides the alloy with its excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.

Alloy B2 (UNS N10665 / W.Nr. 2.4617) is a solid solution strengthened, nickel-molybdenum alloy, typically used in extreme reducing conditions.

The B2 forged fitting is the cornerstone of a strong comic, and the composition of Hastelloy leverages it to have the necessary strength and quality standards to help it withstand a lot of stress for years to come.

It is used in flue gas desulfurizations systems because of its excellent resistance to sulfur compounds and chloride ions encountered in most scrubbers. C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to pitting and to stress- corrosion cracking.

Hastelloy B3 has excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures. In addition, it greatly improves structural stability compared to previous B-type alloys, reducing concerns during welding, fabrication and service.

C22 has excellent resistance to chloride-induced localized corrosion, including pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.

Hastelloy B2 prevents the formation of grain boundary carbide precipitates in the weld heat affected zone, making it suitable for most chemical process applications in the as-welded condition. The heat affected weld zone reduces the precipitation of carbides and other phases to ensure uniform corrosion resistance.

C276 is forged between 2250/1750oF (1230/955oC) and then soaked at the forging temperature for 30 minutes per inch of billet or ingot section thickness. Forging should begin immediately, the billet is removed from the reheat furnace, a 25/40% reduction helps retain as much internal heat as possible.
