1.4529 (UNS N08926) has very high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in halide media and in acidic environments containing sulfur and hydrogen
It can effectively resist chloride ion stress corrosion, and also has good corrosion resistance and good stability in oxidizing and reducing media.
The mechanical properties are slightly better than 904L, and it can be used in the manufacture of pressure vessels from -196 to 400 ¡ãC.

Alloy steel is steel that is alloyed with a variety of elements in total amounts between 1.0% and 50% by weight to improve its mechanical properties. Alloy steels are broken down into two groups: low alloy steels and high alloy steels. The difference between the two is disputed. Smith and Hashemi define the difference at 4.0%, while Degarmo, et al., define it at 8.0%.[1][2] Most commonly, the phrase “alloy steel” refers to low-alloy steels.

Impact strength as well as high surface smoothness are the result of round bar forging of alloy steel DIN 1.7335. Once the materials are forged, they are allowed to cool to the temperature specified by the specification ASTM A 182.

These pipes are highly resistant to high temperature and corrosive environments. The absolute roughness of astm a335 gr P9 seamless pipe is small, so the size is very accurate.

At elevated temperatures, conventional steels, unlike ASTM A 335 P91 pipes, begin to lose their microstructural form, leading to failure. A burst or crack in the pipe is a visible fault.
