Hastelloy C276 bushings have excellent resistance to strong oxidizing salt solutions such as ferric chloride and cupric chloride. Alloy C-276 has excellent phosphoric acid resistance at all temperatures below boiling point and concentrations below 65%.

C276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium superalloy with tungsten added, designed for excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of harsh environments. The high nickel and molybdenum contents make nickel steel alloys particularly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in reducing environments, while chromium is resistant to oxidizing media.

Applications in air pollution control include stack liners, ducts, dampers, scrubbers, stack-gas re-heaters, fans and fan housings.

Hastelloy c22/C276 fasteners have good dimensional accuracy, corrosion resistance, durability, high durability, high flexibility, strong structure, high tensile strength and other characteristics. Hastelloy C-4 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with outstanding high temperature stability. It has high ductility and corrosion resistance. It’s high temperature resistance up to 1900 ¡ãF (1038 ¡ãC) makes it suitable for most chemical process application in the “as” welded condition.
Like other nickel alloys, it is ductile, easy to form and weld, and possesses exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-bearing solutions (a form of degradation to
which the austenitic stainless steels are prone). With its high chromium and molybdenum
contents, it is able to withstand both oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids, and is resistant to
pitting and crevice attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides.

This nickel alloy also offers optimum resistance to environments where reducing and oxidizing conditions are encountered in process streams. This is beneficial in multi- purpose plants where such ¡°upset¡± conditions occur frequently.
