Hastelloy C-22 is identified by the Unified Numbering System (UNS) designation of?N06022. It is a nickel based alloy with high nickel (56%), chromium (22%), and molyddenum (13%).

Hastelloy B2 prevents the formation of grain boundary carbide precipitates in the weld heat affected zone, making it suitable for most chemical process applications in the as-welded condition. Alloy B2 also has excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking.

Alloy N10675 is a high corrosion resistant nickel molybdenum Alloy. This alloy is characterized by a high resistance against hydrochloric acid and other reducing media in a wide range of temperature and concentration.

Although Alloy C276 plate has a higher rate of work hardening compared to its austenitic counterpart, in-process annealing may be required if nickel alloy C276 plate is to be work hardened to a higher degree. Solution annealing may be required if the deformation of the nickel C276 strip exceeds 15%.

Some typical applications for Alloy C22 flat washers include equipment components in chemical and petrochemical organic chloride processes and processes using halide or acid catalysts. Alloy C22 round washers prevent oxidation and reduce water corrosion. Alloy C22 machined gaskets are used in chemical processing, expansion bellows and nuclear fuel processing, industrial equipment.

The alloy is forged between 2250/1750oF (1230/955oC) and then soaked at the forging temperature for 30 minutes per inch of billet or ingot section thickness. Forging should begin immediately, the billet is removed from the reheat furnace, a 25/40% reduction helps retain as much internal heat as possible.
