The Corrosion Resistant HASTELLOY alloys are widely used by the chemical processing industries. The need for reliable performance leads to their acceptance and growth in the areas of energy, health and environmental, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and flue gas desulfurization industries.

Hastelloy C2000 is available in a variety of sizes and thicknesses, this type of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy is renowned for its superior strength and corrosion resistance.

It demonstrates good resistance to neutral and reducing environments. This alloy creates a tenacious oxide, protective film that does not spall off, but it retains superior oxidation resistance at soaring temperatures.

This provides greatly enhanced resistance to sulfuric acid. It also has a high chromium content, to maximize its resistance to oxidizing chemicals and process streams contaminated with ferric ions and dissolved oxygen.

Hastelloy C2000 Tubes are used in a broad range of industries including petrochemical processing, chemical processing equipment manufacturing, oil refineries and power plants.

It is able to withstand a wide range of oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals, and exhibits outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides.

It is used in flue gas desulfurizations systems because of its excellent resistance to sulfur compounds and chloride ions encountered in most scrubbers. C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to pitting and to stress- corrosion cracking.

The alloy is forged between 2250/1750oF (1230/955oC) and then soaked at the forging temperature for 30 minutes per inch of billet or ingot section thickness. Forging should begin immediately, the billet is removed from the reheat furnace, a 25/40% reduction helps retain as much internal heat as possible. HASTELLOY C276 is a Nickel-chromium-molybdenum wrought alloy that is considered the most versatile corrosion resistant alloy available. This alloy is resistant to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone, thus making it suitable for most chemical process applications in an as welded condition. Alloy C-276 also has excellent resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1900¡ãF. Alloy C-276 has exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical environments.

Furnace rolls made of this alloy were still in good condition after operating for 8700 hours at 2150 Deg. F. Furnace trays, used to support heavy loads, have been exposed to temperatures up to 2300 Deg. F. in an oxidizing atmosphere without bending or warping.

Hastelloy B3 is a nickel-molybdenum alloy with profound resistance to stree-corrosion cracking, pitting, corrosion and thermal stability greater to that of alloy B2.

In addition to good corrosion resistance and high tensile strength, Duplex 2205 Hex Bolts also have high surface toughness. This and the passive oxide layer formed by the addition of chromium is the reason why 2205 duplex stainless steel fasteners are used in the marine industry.

Our Hastelloy B2 Ring Joint Type Flanges is not recommended for use in the presence of ferric or cupric salts as these salts may cause rapid corrosion failure. Ferric or cupric salts of these Hastelloy B2 Nippo Flanges may perhaps develop when hydrochloric acid comes in contact with iron or copper.

The material also contains cobalt, tungsten, iron, silicon, manganese, carbon and vanadium in its composition.
