Hastelloy B2 Seamless Pipes is a solid solution strengthened, nickel ¨C molybdenum alloy, typically used in extreme reducing conditions.

It is used in chemical processing, pollution control, pulp and paper production, industrial and municipal waste treatment and the recovery of ¡°sour¡± natural gas.

These alloys of flanges are basically non-magnetic but feature superior higher strength at a temperature range of 1500 degree F. whereas show good oxidation resistance up to 2200 degree F.

Hastelloy C22 fasteners are a general-purpose grade composed of chromium, nickel, molybdenum and tungsten alloys. These designs are designed to increase resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking (SSC) and crevice corrosion cracking. It has high chromium content and good resistance to oxidizing media. The presence of molybdenum and tungsten provides good resistance to reducing media. Its nickel content provides admirable resistance to oxidizing aqueous media.

Hastelloy B3 fasteners offer the same excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid and other strong reducing chemicals as other B alloys, including B2, but with significantly enhanced thermal stability and easier fabrication. In addition, B3 fasteners are highly resistant to attack from cut lines and heat affected zones. Like B2 alloys, B3 fasteners are not recommended for use in the presence of iron or copper salts that can cause rapid corrosion failure.

C276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium superalloy with tungsten added, designed for excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of harsh environments. The high nickel and molybdenum contents make nickel steel alloys particularly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in reducing environments, while chromium is resistant to oxidizing media.

Thus these Hastelloy B2 Flanges are considered to be well suited to be used for most chemical process applications in an as-welded condition. Due to lower carbon content in the alloy, there is reduced precipitation of carbides as well as other phases in the heat-affected weld zones, which in turn ensures uniform resistance to corrosion in the flange.

ANSI B16.11 Hastelloy B2 plugs have excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media including wet chlorine and mixtures including oxidizing or nitric acid.
