Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened metal. Nickel 200 Bar Stock contains 99.6% wrought nickel by weight and is considered commercially pure nickel. DIN 2.4066 Bar has good mechanical and physical properties. For example, ASTM B160 N02200 has excellent resistance to many corrosive compounds as well as corrosive environments. Meanwhile, Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened wrought alloy that can be designed as round bars and rods. These two components are used interchangeably and can be distinguished from certain key functions.

Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and high strength at elevated temperatures. Due to its high nickel content, Inconel 600 is extremely resistant to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Age hardening is not required as Inconel 600 is hardened and strengthened by cold work only. The Inconel 600 can operate in temperatures as low as 700¡ãF (370¡ãC).

Inconel 600 round bar is a nickel-based alloy with benign carburization and excellent corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Inconel 600 round bars are effective against drying Cl2 and many other different gases at mild and high temperatures. Alloy 600 bar is a nickel-chromium alloy with good oxidation resistance and resistance to chloride pressure decomposition cracking, high cleanliness water corrosion and acid oxidation at elevated temperatures.

Round bars are cold drawn and annealed, available in stock lengths or cut to size. Alloy round bars provide strength and corrosion resistance in a variety of environments and can be used in the frame, machine part manufacturing, food service and medical device industries.

Nickel-copper-based alloy 400 Monel 2.4360 cold drawn rod is virtually immune to chloride stress-related corrosion cracking when exposed to corrosive media in typical environments. Monel 400 is a copper and nickel based alloy that is popular today due to its high performance. The alloy has excellent acid and alkali resistance. In addition, it has good tensile strength, ductility, excellent thermal conductivity, and can be hardened by cold work. Additionally, it can be used in applications with temperatures ranging from minus to 538 degrees Celsius.

Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Nickel Alloy 400 is known for its resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions, including alkalis (or acids), salt water, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. Since Monel 400 or Alloy 400 is a cold worked metal, this alloy has high hardness, stiffness and strength. By cold working ASTM B164 UNS N04400 bar stock, the alloy is subjected to higher levels of mechanical stress, which in turn causes changes in the alloy’s microstructure.

Hastelloy C-276 has excellent resistance to pitting as well.C276 alloy is suitable for many chemical process applications.

ASTM B425 UNS N08825 bar stock has a nickel content between 38% and 46% and is able to withstand a moderately high temperature range without affecting its tensile strength.

Inconel 601 is an alloy composed of nickel and chromium.

Incoloy 825 round bar has excellent resistance to a variety of environmental and corrosive conditions such as stress corrosion cracking, reducing environments, oxidizing environments, pitting, crevice and intergranular corrosion. These circular die have excellent mechanical properties over a wide temperature range.

Inconel 718 is a chromium and nickel based alloy with additional amounts of titanium, niobium, iron, molybdenum and aluminum. This alloy has high mechanical strength and durability to withstand extreme environmental conditions. Inconel 718 round bar has excellent resistance and solderability. These bars have excellent overall corrosion resistance in high temperature and high pressure applications.

Incoloy 800 round bars contain up to 35% nickel, up to 23% chromium and up to 39.5% iron. Incoloy 800 alloy round bars also contain carbon, molybdenum and silicon content. Incoloy 800 threaded rods can be used effectively at temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius.

Incoloy 800 was the first alloy as Incoloy 800H was slightly changed. To improve stress fracture properties, adjustments were made to control carbon and grain size.

Inconel 625 bar can withstand high stress and a wide range of temperatures, in and out of water, as well as resist corrosion when exposed to highly acidic environments, making it ideal for marine and nuclear applications.

Hastelloy C22 bar contains a high amount of nickel-molybdenum-chromium superalloy as well as tungsten and is designed to provide excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of harsh environments. It is very resistant to corrosion in immersion environments and is used for chemical applications in the as-welded state.

Nickel alloy Inconel 625 is commonly used in propeller blades, propulsion motors, submersible accessories, marine instruments and many other applications.

The Monel K500 is essentially a stronger, stiffer version of the Monel 400. It exhibits the same high corrosion resistance as this alloy, with added aluminum and titanium content for increased strength and hardness. Monel K500? is heat treated under controlled conditions to precipitate submicroscopic particles of Ni 3 (Ti, Al) throughout the material.

ASTM B408 Incoloy 825 bar is titanium stabilized to resist pitting and intergranular corrosion after fabrication, especially welding, including heating in the critical sensitization temperature range (650¡ãC – 760¡ãC).

Inconel 718 can be described as a nickel-chromium alloy containing molybdenum, niobium, iron and very small amounts of titanium and aluminum. Inconel 718 round bars are strong and they also show remarkable yields.

Alloy steels have better strength, durability, toughness, hardenability and hot hardness than carbon steels used to make metal bars and rods. Alloy steel bars are widely used in many different steel making applications and can be easily fabricated by machining, forming, casting and welding.

Inconel 600 round bar is also known as Alloy 600 or UNS N06600/W.Nr. 2.4816. Chemically, Inconel 600 Din 2.4816 Bar consists of three main alloying elements, namely nickel, chromium and iron, of which nickel is the main component of the alloy.

Alloy 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy characterized by: good mechanical properties at low, room and high temperature, very good resistance to stress corrosion cracking, even at high temperature, high temperature corrosion resistance to dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride Good resistance and good resistance to oxidation, carburization and nitriding.

Alloy 718 is a precipitation hardenable nickel-based alloy designed to exhibit extremely high yield, tensile and creep rupture properties at temperatures up to 1300°F.

Inconel 718 is a high strength nickel base superalloy for long term service at low temperatures of 1200¡ãF. The alloy is easy to manufacture and can be welded in the annealed or precipitation (age) hardened condition. Annealed 1700-1850¡ãF, air cooled or faster. Aged 8 hours at 1325¡ãF with furnace cooling held at 1150¡ãF for a total age of 18 hours with air cooling. Alloy 718 exhibits a shrinkage of 0.0008 in/in after precipitation hardening.

Incoloy 800 was produced as early as the 1950s, but at that time, nickel was not widely used, so it was really only used in special cases when producing certain steels. This grade has high temperature strength and resistance to carburization, oxidation and other high temperature corrosion.

Alloy 31 is a nickel, chromium and molybdenum stainless steel with added nitrogen and copper. It combines moderate tensile strength with high ductility, excellent corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid, reducing and oxidizing media, and strong corrosion and erosion corrosion resistance in phosphorus environments.

Alloy 625 is a nickel-chromium alloy with high strength, excellent machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. Operating temperature ranges from cryogenic to 1800¡ãF. The strength of Alloy 625 is derived from the hardening effect of molybdenum and niobium on its nickel-chromium matrix; therefore, precipitation hardening is not required. This combination of elements also provides excellent resistance to a variety of unusually severe corrosive environments as well as high temperature effects such as oxidation and carburization.

Hastelloy C-276 is easy to form, ductile, it is easy to weld, and possesses exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-bearing solutions.

Typical applications for Monel K500 grade rods include those tasks that take advantage of the alloy’s high tensile strength and corrosion resistance. For example, Monel B865 K500 forged bar can be used to make impellers, propeller shafts, pump shafts.

Some applications suitable for Inconel 625 include seawater, aerospace and chemical processing. About Seawater Inconel 625 is a common choice due to its excellent corrosion resistance, fatigue strength and high tensile strength. Not to mention its strong resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Propeller blades, subsea motors, and subsea cable sheathing are good applications for Inconel 625, where the bar becomes wire once it passes through a certain minimum diameter, in which case the wire can be used for mooring cables.

Alloy steel round bars provide good weldability without compromising the wear and impact resistance of the steel. Common uses of alloy steel round bars include structural applications in gears, fasteners, and aircraft applications.

Alloy 925 is a nickel-based alloy with major additions of iron and chromium, but also molybdenum, copper, titanium, and aluminum. The combination of high strength and corrosion resistance makes it suitable for applications such as valves, hangers, packers and pipes in sour gas environments. It can also be used for fasteners and pump shafts in marine environments.

The combination of nickel and chromium provides protection in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. The high nickel content also provides resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion is also excellent. The alloy is produced by a vacuum remelting process, but can be supplied using an air melting single-consumer electrode (VAR or ESR) practice if material specifications permit.
