Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Nickel Alloy 400 is known for its resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions, including alkalis (or acids), salt water, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. Since Monel 400 or Alloy 400 is a cold worked metal, this alloy has high hardness, stiffness and strength. By cold working ASTM B164 UNS N04400 bar stock, the alloy is subjected to higher levels of mechanical stress, which in turn causes changes in the alloy’s microstructure.

Inconel 600 round bar is a nickel-based alloy with benign carburization and excellent corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Inconel 600 round bars are effective against drying Cl2 and many other different gases at mild and high temperatures. Alloy 600 bar is a nickel-chromium alloy with good oxidation resistance and resistance to chloride pressure decomposition cracking, high cleanliness water corrosion and acid oxidation at elevated temperatures.

Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened metal. Nickel 200 Bar Stock contains 99.6% wrought nickel by weight and is considered commercially pure nickel. Nickel-copper-based alloy 400 Monel 2.4360 cold drawn rod is virtually immune to chloride stress-related corrosion cracking when exposed to corrosive media in typical environments. Monel 400 is a copper and nickel based alloy that is popular today due to its high performance. The alloy has excellent acid and alkali resistance. Additionally, it can be used in applications with temperatures ranging from minus to 538 degrees Celsius.

Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and high strength at elevated temperatures. Due to its high nickel content, Inconel 600 is extremely resistant to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Age hardening is not required as Inconel 600 is hardened and strengthened by cold work only. The Inconel 600 can operate in temperatures as low as 700¡ãF (370¡ãC).

INCONEL alloy 718 (UNS N07718/W.Nr. 2.4668) is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant nickel chromium material used at -423¡ã to 1300¡ãF.

Chromium, when added to Alloy 600 Inconel rods along with nickel, increases the alloy’s resistance to sulfur-containing compounds while providing resistance to oxidizing conditions at high temperatures or in the presence of corrosive solutions.

2.4375 Monel K500 round bar is non-magnetic, as an alloy, Monel K500 ASTM B865 hexagonal bar exhibits excellent mechanical properties over a temperature range from sub-zero settings to 480C. Monel ASTM B865 hollow bars require annealing when welded, and weldments should be stress relieved to the alloy prior to aging.

Inconel 600 nickel-chromium-iron alloy

Incoloy 800 round bars contain up to 35% nickel, up to 23% chromium and up to 39.5% iron. Incoloy 800 alloy round bars also contain carbon, molybdenum and silicon content. Incoloy 800 threaded rods can be used effectively at temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius.

The Monel400 bar is a nickel-copper alloy (about 67% ni-23% Cu) that is resistant to seawater and steam as well as salt and corrosive solutions at high temperatures.

Alloy 625 is a nickel-chromium alloy with high strength, excellent machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. Operating temperature ranges from cryogenic to 1800¡ãF. The strength of Alloy 625 is derived from the hardening effect of molybdenum and niobium on its nickel-chromium matrix; therefore, precipitation hardening is not required. This combination of elements also provides excellent resistance to a variety of unusually severe corrosive environments as well as high temperature effects such as oxidation and carburization.

Inconel 625 bar is a heat resistant nickel based superalloy. The high strength of these bars makes them a difficult prospect for machines. Bars of this grade have a machinability rating of 17% and a hardness of 29 HRC.

Compared to Alloy 718, Alloy 625 has higher corrosion resistance in high temperature environments.
