S32750 S32760 Super duplex stainless steel pipes with excellent mechanical properties

2205 duplex stainless steel is a cost effective solution for many applications where the 300 series stainless steels are susceptible to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Stress corrosion cracking occurs when stainless steels are subjected to tensile stress, while in contact with solutions containing chlorides. Increasing temperatures also increase the susceptibility of stainless steels to stress corrosion cracking.

S32760 Heavy hex nuts are slightly larger and thicker than standard (finished) hex nuts. There are numerous grades and the heavy pattern is typically used for large diameter and high strength bolts.

Duplex steels are also magnetic, a property that can be used to easily distinguish them from ordinary austenitic stainless grades.

2507 has high resistance to stress corrosion cracking (especially chloride stress corrosion cracking), high energy absorption, high strength, and erosion. Essentially, and the Duplex alloys are a compromise.

Usage of Duplex 2507 should be limited to applications below 600¡ã F (316¡ã C). Extended elevated temperature exposure can reduce both the toughness and corrosion resistance of alloy 2507.

Duplex 2205 bolts (EN 1.4462) are made from an austenitic-ferritic stainless steel, which was designed to deliver higher strength and corrosion resistance than 300 series stainless steels. It helps users to avoid stress corrosion cracking that is typically seen with 316 and 317. Super Duplex has all the benefits of other duplex steels, specifically the strength benefits of their biphasic structural composition of equal parts austenitic and ferritic stainless steel. This microstructure makes all duplex steels around twice as strong as regular single structure ferritic or austenitic steels, but Super Duplex has a higher chromium and molybdenum content, giving it considerably increased resistance to corrosion than its counterparts.

Duplex 2205 flanges offer good sulfide corrosion resistance, as well as chloride pitting and crevice corrosion resistant superior to 317L.

ASTM A240 Type 2507 Duplex Sheet is an alloy used in applications with high strength and corrosion resistance. The composition of the duplex 2507 sheet is approximately 25% chromium, 7% nickel and 4% molybdenum. This composition makes it resistant to crevice corrosion and chloride pitting.

Duplex 2205 is a nitrogen-enhanced duplex stainless steel designed to solve common corrosion problems encountered with 300 series stainless steels. “Duplex” describes a family of stainless steels that are neither fully austenitic (such as 304 stainless steel) nor purely ferritic (such as 430 stainless steel).
