ASTM A193 Grade B7 specification covers the requirements for high strength alloy steel bolting materials for high temperature or high pressure service and other special purpose applications. These ASTM A182 Grade F5 Flanges gives extraordinary erosion resistance in, for instance, caustic and acidic applications which includes sulphuric and higher chloride environments. A182 Gr F5 Threaded Flanges are mostly used in utility services such as air and water. It is similar to the Slip-On flange, but the bore is threaded. Its greatest advantage is that it can be assembled without welding, explaining its use in low pressure services at ordinary atmospheric temperatures, and in highly explosive areas where welding create a hazard.

ASTM A182 F12 round bar is commonly used in different industries, such as air-conditioning industry, aluminum industry, boiler industry, steel industry, cement industry, construction industry, etc. ASME SA 182 F12 bar stock is available in a variety of sizes to meet different customer requirements.

They have a minimum yield strength of 105ksi. There are different types of bolts and bolts for different types of applications such as ASTM A193 gr b7 hex bolts.

Different types of ASTM A182 F5 forged fittings include threaded flanges, slip flanges, weld neck flanges, socket weld flanges, blind flanges and lap flanges.

Grade B7 is a heat treated chromium molybdenum low alloy steel with a minimum tensile strength requirement of 125 ksi (860 Mpa), a yield strength of 105 ksi (720 Mpa) and a maximum hardness of 35HRC. Boltport produces B7 headed and headless bolts from alloy steel AISI 4140 bar stock or forgings. For the F5 flange, the creep strength of the chromium-molybdenum low alloy mainly comes from two sources: the solid solution strengthening of the matrix ferrite by carbon, molybdenum and chromium and the precipitation hardening of the carbides.

Although acceptable fouling levels are considered beneficial to the alloy, in moderate cases, fouling deposits on Astm A182 F9 flange surfaces can act as a barrier to excessive corrosion. When flanges are produced using specification ASTM A182, they work well at high temperatures, albeit in applications with high pressure.
